After I negotiate the terms on a new vehicle and sit in the office with the financial person and sign papers, they usually pitch aftermarket insurance to me. I stop them before they can deliver their pitch and tell them Iam not interested. Iam not interested in purchasing something I'll have to negotiate the service on later down the road.

There's a big difference between the factory extended warranty and an aftermarket warranty. The OP was sold an aftermarket warranty by the dealer because they sold him a import (Canadian Market) Gladiator that had no factory warranty coverage in the USA.
