You’ll love Argentina Eric! We were there about a year ago for several weeks and it was amazing (but HOT). The wine is really fantastic as well as the roasted meats. We found the “street conversion” to be about double to that of the official rate but everyone takes dollars and using your credit card, as I’m sure you know will get you the best official rate.

Have you thought about using an eSIM card? I haven’t tried it out yet but will when we go to the Sahara this Fall.

You would not believe how much Argentina has changed since you were here. The economy has really tanked and the Blue Dollar really isn't a thing before. We are lucky to get a few hundred pesos over the exchange rate per dollar. It's really unreal considering all the stories we've heard. Also believe it or not it isn't easy to get a good steak any longer in most places in Argentina, and I know that sounds ludicrous and almost like blasphemy, but it is true! Because of the economy all of the farmers are exporting the good meat to other countries because they get several times what it is worth. The local population is left with what is left over which is essentially sub par. So sad.

I have an esim in my phone but many Latin American countries are still just coming into those. So my recommendation as of yet is to still take a phone that can take a physical sim if you are going to various countries.

We left our Jeep Gladiator in Mendoza, Argentina and were invited to fly back and present at Overland Expo West 2024. So we get in some Trail running in Moab, Caspian drives for the very first time, and we head out to Expo.

We also get nostalgic in this video and take you back a few years to how we got into overlanding. But the best part of this episode is introducing you to our family and friends.

This is what life looks like for us stateside.

We fly back to Argentina to continue our drive around the world in July. Come spend some time with us in the States.

No wheeling, wish I could have wheeled some rental cars around Torres del Paine, which is a must see national park in Chile. Spend a day or two in the fishing village of Puerto Natales, the people are so awesome.

One of the most frequent questions we get asked is, "How do you educate your 7 year old as full-time overlanders who are driving around the world?"

In this video we give you a glimpse of what that looks like. Keep in mind that in this video we've returned to the USA for 2.5 months. So we're not in our global rig, our Jeep Gladiator. Instead we're in our North American rig, our Jeep Wrangler that we keep parked here for trips home when we visit family and friends.

As you can see we're not in our Jeep Gladiator in this video, that is because this is our final farewell to the United States as we get ready to head back to South America to continue our global overlanding journey in our JT.

Appreciate the encouragement Dan. There are many people who have a hard time with our decision to raise our son in this manner. But I swear if they met him in person they'd change their tune. He's so well adjusted, kind, politie, curious, friendly, outgoing and intelligent. He's one of the most social kids you'd ever want to meet and pretty bright for his age. Honestly, I love hanging out with him.

Our overlanding journey around the world continues. It has been a bit since we posted a video and there are reasons for this.

The main reason was Brittany's surgery which took place in Mendoza, Argentina right after we got back to South America. She's been recovering well. Thank you to those who have asked.

This video shares the challenges of getting back to South America, and being reunited with our rig. We also get to meet a couple of our overlanding heroes in this video so that makes it extra special for us.
