Really love the look and would be down for a full set at that price.

my only question is really the latching and rattle problems with other doors. Has anything been done to address that?

I wouldn’t have a problem with $2 but what about making this a kickstarter project? That may help relieve some of the concerns about excess inventory. It will also give you some more publicity outside of the forums.

Is that price including shipping? I'd have to know shipping costs first.

Good call, at this price point there are other options. So every cost matters.

My wife does NOT like no doors, she's basically given up riding in my YJ. Lots of people don't like a gaping hole in the passenger space. Doesn't bug me, but I'm not everyone.

Tube doors preserve a LOT of the visibility benefits of no doors, while providing a sense of enclosure. It's a good combination for some folks.

Come to think of it, I did spend a fair amount of time when I was a kid as a passenger in a Bell 47 or Hiller 12 with no doors. Must have desensitized me.
I know a lot of people who won't ride with me in my JT with the doors off.

Could you post a price for doors w/o mirrors? Thanks
Save $50 off each option (except rear doors only) if not equipped with rearview mirrors.
I also sell the mirrors individually, if you want to buy them, they are also $50 a set.
If you've checked the price on Amazon, you'll know that's the cost price.

I saw the earlier question about matching paint color. any update on OEM paint matched ones? If I can get a set in hydro blue, i'll order right now.
Paint matching itself is not difficult. The biggest challenge is inventory, because spraying factories all produce in batches. Making OEM colors will cause us to add several SKUs, and the inventory pressure will increase significantly.
This should be the reason why most Tube door brands do not offer OEM colors.
But I can understand your thinking, maybe in the future. We are just a start-up brand now, if we can run smoothly, I will try to make some, and don't worry, the first color we make must be blue, because our JT is also blue LOL.

We use rubber stop screws, which are also the mainstream solution adopted by many brands. You can adjust the screws to ensure that the door and the body frame fit closely, so as to ensure that the door does not make any noise while driving.
But the rubber head shown in this photo is not the final version. We replaced it with a larger rubber head to disperse the pressure and avoid dents in the car body caused by repeated impacts, similar to the shape in the second picture.
We will also make a final version of the sample, and I will take pictures of more details.
I will try to list our product on Kickstarter.

All fees are included in the sale price, there are no additional fees, sorry I forgot to mention.

Awesome to hear! I'd still consider ordering the black, need to check with my powder coat guy on cost. Would you consider selling them bare instead?

A batch of Rubicon Red doors might be a big seller.
It would give you a competitive edge over the competition.
They go with any Rubicon no matter its color.
A Rubicon owner can never have too much Rubicon Red.

We made some renderings with color. If enough people want it, we can make the door body or PU color. What do you think?

Hi Nick, we have communicated with the factory and we will offer an 'electrophoresis only' option, which is $5 cheaper than matte black.
I know that some brands will sell bare steel directly. We will do the electrophoresis treatment for you in advance. This can ensure the rust prevention without affecting your ability to paint them by yourself.
