1st post for me here on this forum. I hate to show this to everyone but she went a total of 340 miles before someone ran a red light and hit me. Good news is that both parties were fine. The lady who hit me all her air bags deployed and mine looks to be some possible major damage to the bumper, frame and sway bar no telling what else. Everyone stay safe out there and get a dash cam cause apparently it's good to lie about stuff...

So annoying, especially when you aren't at fault. Now there's a declaration on title and the value (if you ever go to sell it) will be less. It happened to me when I was sitting at a red light in my Audi and got rear-ended by a distracted driver...insurance (here in BC at least) doesn't compensate for diminished value.

So I never knew you could do this and Ive never sued anyone but I’m in the medical field and i have a doctor that bought a new Audi S4 and he got hit in the first two weeks and he sued for depreciation and got thousands of dollars. I would man. It will always be on a car fax when you trade or sell. Just a thought

Brother. Glad everyone is OK. Not as bad but I Messed up my tailgate last night backing out of my neighbors driveway and hit the mailbox across the street. Since the tailgate is aluminum it can’t be PDR’d very well and it’s friggin expensive (I ordered a new gate) and also not available immediately! So pissed at myself.

As mentioned above, don't settle with their insurance without a diminished value number that you're happy with. It is a standard ask in a settlement but they won't offer it up if you don't ask for it.
