My 1981 CJ-7. I just got it a few months ago. It sat for over 20 years. I’ve been going through all the mechanical and electrical to make it roadworthy.

This is a maintenance day on the Gladiator as well as more tinkering on the CJ.

My garage is so small, the Gladiator barely fits in.

In addition I squeezed in a Hazet tool trolley and a scissor lift which are both not accessible ...

@Stan H - that's what I do. Started doing to avoid replacing the battery in the middle of winter, but now I do it once a week to keep the batteries healthy on my new Gladiator in my wife's Wrangler.

I've had zero issues, many others have done the same thing or direct connected. What I did find what my ESS started working dependably (though not a big fan of it having it working right was a good thing in my book). I got through the winter with the original 2020 batteries still working great, but the side benefit of having the ESS. As both my wife and I have very short communes to work (under 5 miles) our batteries don't get a good chance to fully charge, so the trickle charge seems to be keeping the batteries healthy.

Yeah I have a 65 mile commute to work so I dont encounter the charging issue but I didn't make it on the original batteries built 9/20 purchased 12/20 mine is a 21' model . Think they bit the dust last spring .in 2024. My Darn motorcycle battery died on me also 😂 I did replacements in a few months.
I wore mine down listening to the radiator while sitting still and not idling .

Cool thread. I’ve noticed Vette guys are often Harley guys are often Jeep guys! My stable. Different horses for different courses. The 10 second 6 speed manual Vette used to be fast but now if you’re not single digit stay home on the porch. 😂

Can't find a large enough picture of my Harley to see, so I'll include my Honda and one of my tractors. If you crossed the two, it'd basically be a Harley.
