Yes I have the stock gas strut. It’s behind the driver side blinker.Your tailgate drops ? . Mine goes down slowly.. Built into the tailgate.
Awe that sucks. I've ordered three different paints from them and they were all exact matches. Even my 1 of 150 '91 alltracI bought Hydro Blue from Automotive Touchup a few years ago. Both spray cans and a bottle. Both were lighter than my Jeep. I needed to add a touch of black to darken it up.
That looks great! I took my amfib off my black JLUR when I traded it in and I’ve yet to install it on my new anvil. Now I’m wanting to paint mine to match, so thanks lolSince we wheel in dusty areas a lot, we purchased the AmFib snorkel for our shop Rubicon XR.
I wanted the replacement panel to color match and not be black, so I rattle caned it with primer, then Anvil, then used 2k clear out of a can.
paint went down well, I think it turned out great!

I’m only on my second set of batteries. July of 2021 and 73k miles until now. I’m a firm believer in maintainers.I need to do this.... Sometimes my Jeep sits for several days out of the week. On my 3rd set of Mopar batteries in less than 3 years.
Thanks very much. So much great info on this forum. One piece of advice I got was to use all the same brand/line of products.
I painted my inner fenders both front and rear with Rustoleum products and it's held up well.
Self Etching Primer because the inners were aluminum, light sand with a fine grit sand paper, then top coat, no clear. I think I did 3 coats each of primer and top coat.
Recently, it was dirty at the time and sans fenders and bumper but you can see the inner well, the one big scuff to the right of the shock is from my sway bar hitting it, otherwise it has held up exceptionally.

This is great advice for the casual painter. Most brands sell products that are designed to work together. It makes it easier for the less experienced, and most importantly, it works. One piece of advice I got was to use all the same brand/line of products.
I dig it. Now the question is whether I can find mopar primer. I kid. I kid. This is great advice for the casual painter. Most brands sell products that are designed to work together. It makes it easier for the less experienced, and most importantly, it works.

It most definitely is something like that. I doubt "Mopar" has anything to do with the paint they use.Mopar Primer is probably Rustoleum brand relabeledkidding ..lol
