Wifes fault she took the mini to work today and i had one more box of parts..... no mini to work on I figured lets add that last part!!

Installed RedRock Bed Side Rock Rails easy install except I wish they provided a template, althought it was an easy cut I used metal sheers easier then the razer blade method suggested

My Jeep is the base sport, so it did not come with an option for the 115V bed outlet. If you didn’t/couldn’t opt for it in the factory, there is no connector to find; it’s not in the wiring harness. I ended up installing my own inverter and a continuous solenoid, modified the connector circuit card and ran an extension cord out to my bed.

I’ve taken apart the dash twice (for this switch install and kicker speaker install). It’s a pain in the butt, but it is possible.
I have a 24 Rubicon X with inverter & 115v in the center console/back seat, so I have power.

RECENTLY PICKED UP A 2023 GLADIATOR RUBICON (I HAVE HAD A GRAND CHEROKEE AND CHEROKEE IN THE PAST. ENJOYED BOTH OF THEM, BUT WANTED A REAL JEEP. THOUGHT ABOUT A 2 DOOR BUT IN THE END WENT WITH THE GLADIATOR BECAUSE OF THE BED).

TODAY I INSTALLED :
  • ARMORLITE FLOORING
  • SEAT COVERS
  • SHORT ANTENNA
  • GRAB BAR STORAGE
  • LOWER CONSOLE STORAGE
  • CUP HOLDER COASTERS
  • ORGANIZER IN THE CENTER CONSOLE
  • SILL GUARDS
  • LED FENDER LIGHT BULBS
  • TYGER TONNEAU COVER
  • START-X REMOTE START
THE ARMORLITE FLOORING TOOK ABOUT 3HRS WITH A SECOND PERSON. GOT HUNG UP A FEW TIMES BUT OVERALL IT WAS AN EASY INSTALL. WE REMOVED THE FRONT SEATS COMPLETELY WHICH MADE IT LESS OF A HASSLE. (ALSO, LESS OF A HASSLE FOR THE SEAT COVERS).

THE START-X REMOTE START TOOK ABOUT 30 MINUTES TOTAL (I HAD TO REINSTALL THE STOCK DOOR). NOT DIFFICULT. JUST NEED TO GO BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN A LAPTOP/COMPUTER AND THE JEEP.

I DID THROW ON SOME TUBE DOORS BUT DIDN’T GET A PIC, I WAS IN TOO MUCH OF A HURRY TO GET OUT AND DRIVE THIS BAD AXX JEEP GLADIATOR.

LOOKING FORWARD HITTING THE TRAILS AND ADDING MORE UPGRADES WITH TIME.

SO FAR EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM HAS BEEN GREAT - I APPRECIATE THE RESPONSES TO MY QUESTIONS.

OH, AND DUKE DOG WASN’T MUCH OF A HELP, BUT HE SUPERVISED PRETTY WELL!

Got the Badland APEX 12K winch installed. Not exactly digging the slight body roll with it. Figured the previously installed Rubicon Diesel Suspension with a steel bumper option would compensate for this but I guess not. My previous Gladiators did not have this issue but they were with aftermarket springs, shocks and track bars.

There is never a free lunch it seems when you add something.

Yeah, it's mounted pretty high, that will affect your CG a little bit. Enough to increase the body roll.

I’d agree for sure. I haven’t seen one mounted that high. I’d look for a bumper with a cavity to sink the winch and I’m guessing it will be gone.

Yeah, thought about that also. Really did not want to go down the path of a new bumper but may have to look at that. Had a top mount Go Rhino bumper on my previous Gladiator but that sit a couple inches lower than what I have now.

That one is definitely lower. I didn’t get a great look at the plate on the new one, but is there any concern that it might distort with a heavy winch pull?

On Thursday I pulled my engine/tranny skid, and t-case skid, in preparation for today’s tranny pan drop. I found that I’d bent the engine skid up recently and it was touching the exhaust crossover. I already have a reinforcement setup on the way from Next Venture that adds steel to the inside of the skid and changes the braces for the exhaust crossover. I also sourced some new UHMW at a plastics place in Denver. I’m going to make and bend a single piece of UHMW for the skid, to further protect it from Dan lines. I had one of the first of these skids in early 2022, and they’ve been through the wringer. I’d much rather repair and replace skids than the items being protected. I also have a replacement crossmember that supports the rear of the engine skid, rear of transfer case skid, and front of gas tank skid. It’s been remade with additional bracing after some, including me, have bent the originals. The braces on the engine/tranny skid had started to touch the trans pan with all the upshift. I’m quite glad I’m replacing the pan today. Some presents left over from Utah on the t-case skid, but it’s otherwise in great shape. I also broke a tab on the gas tank skid. So I’ll drop that as well and add some steel to fix it hopefully.

Edit: I think I need a new gas tank skid. Wow.

That is a good question. While not a great test, I did not notice anything when I tension loaded the winch line. I would have to double check, but I do not think it is 1/4" rolled plate steel and is slightly smaller.

Thanks. It is technically a "novelty plate" since we are a one plate state and the design is a mish-mash of the older black classic Delaware plates and current.

There is someone in the state though that has that "1941"as their rear legal plate and could easily get $50K + if they wanted to auction or sell it.

I was sure you had the real one. That’d be crazy cool.
