I had one on my Tacoma. I never noticed any smell until I installed a topper. Next day after topper install I open the tailgate and got a big ol whiff of mildewy moldy swamp ass. Pulled the bedrug expecting to find the bottom all nasty but it looked clean as new. Tried to clean it multiple times after that and the smell never went away so I tossed it.
Same experience . For me I have factory liner and a rubber bed mat and that will do.

Wow. I have a topper and haven’t had that problem. Granted I live in CO, so almost no humidity. I’d guess that’s the difference. I do leave the tailgate open in the garage for a day or two after I wash it or a big rain storm.

I would say it is climate and stinky clay mud and clay dust . I work in the dirt. And it stinks . Like dead stuff

Clay definitely smells. The dogs make a pretty solid mess of it, but I just get in there with a regular upright vacuum one or twice a year. I find it satisfying to stand that high up pushing a vacuum around, sometimes powered by the goal zero if I’m super lazy.

Corrected the caster of the front end with some Alpine LCA from Teraflex. Done before the high of 102° today.

Now where did you measure at cause I seen several different places people are measuring from .
Some on top of the upper ball joints
Some on the diff . Some are using the pinion angle of zero which will equal 6degree caster on the ball joints ?
Pinion angle and Caster aren't the same but are related since both are affect by the amount of rotation and one can give a clue the other isnt right.

Goal is pinion angle of 0° which is 6° caster. You can spend some money and get a fancy digital angle reader, or $5 for a Harbor Freight unit. Check your garage floor for base angle and transfer that correction to your pinion reading. I'm probably within .1 to .5° now. I was told a couple angle places by @WILDHOBO to measure it, and the only one that I remembered was the pinion angle. Hope that helps. Test drive, everything tight, steering self-centers again, checked the torque on everything and all is good.

People were nicer back when it was normal to not only beat your kids but even your wife if she was out of line? I guess so long as you were an adult male you might have the illusion that people were nicer.
Yeah, because everybody got beat up but adult males. Geesh

Got its 6th windshield installed, including the factory original. Oem, non-gorilla. I’m finally going to learn. Exoshield goes on next weekend if I can last that long without breaking it.

If anyone is interested in the Hotheads Sunrider headliner, or any of their headliners, they are 10% off with their labor day sale. The Sunrider headliner gets my seal of approval for sound and heat reduction.

Hate to order until I get my sunrider issues resolved. I won't know what the bar spacing or configuration will be in the end and it sounds like there's two possible bar spacings?

It'll fit regardless of the bar spacing. The Velcro on the thermal side is 2" wide so lots of adjustability.
