Installed the 41.22 wireless kill switch today. Took about an hour to do it. Mostly to decide where to mount the control box and route the wiring. I mounted the control box under wiper covering. I used 3M double sided body tape to hold the box in place. Replace the starter relay with the kits relay. Ran the wires so that they won't be to noticeable. I used my Dremel tool to put a small notch in the fuse box edge so that the relay wire could come out without being pinched.

I did not know they made a wireless version. Now I have to go buy something. Thank you. I think. 😂

They could sure make it MORE obvious that it's not a standard relay. Wow, wire sticking right out the top.

Well, as it turns out the bottom of the drivers side link was shot and wobbling and the upper ball joint of the passengers side. So it's a good thing they come in pairs

Can I ask why you would put the control box outside the hood? I’d want it under a locked hood. Where it is now, one could just twist the two wires together and it’s disabled.

Lock that hood and it doesn’t matter.

I think that is your cabin fresh air intake the control box is sitting over?

First I removed the VisionX rear bumper lights from the '21. Kinda shocked at how badly rusted the brackets were. Never noticed because the reflectors I added hid it. When I took them out, the powder coating all came off with the reflector. It's going to take some work before I can put these in the '25.
The set I had looked like crap after the first winter with them. I wound up cutting my loses and tossing them. Vision X will not stand behind them either.

What thief carries a spare starter relay with them? And does he know what he's looking at? Plus I have a hood lock.

Is that just a drain hole then for the cowl?
The wires go through a gap that's in the bottom of foam. Didn't have to cut or make a hole.

You have to have a GOOD hood lock.
I don't understand why they run the wires out the top instead of our the side where the bottom of the case meets the base. Then popping the top off the fuse panel, you'd never see it unless you spent too much time there.

I'd not yet seen a hood lock for these with the factory front cam that you couldn't pop open with a screwdriver.

It just seems like such an obvious thing - geesh, hide that damned wire! Sticking out the top is so amateur.

Have you watched the instances of Jeep thefts? They know what they are doing, how they work, how to access the bus, how to program keys - they are going after Jeeps.

I wasn't suggesting they'd carry a relay, but that's so very obvious - leave them GUESSING, not instantly seeing where the problem is.
The longer you have them thinking or scratching their head, the better.
You have to think like they do (it's how I became top security person in our agency and the go-to person for security in other agencies -think like the black hats would)

If they pop that hood lock and pull the fuse panel cover (my first moves), they immediately know where the issue is (and as one video in these forums pointed out, the thieves came back a night later and finished the job)
Not seeing a wire, then it will stall them.
Seeing that as soon as you pull the fuse cover, you don't need a relay, you can simply cut the wire and complete the circuit.

If they want it bad enough. They'll just use a tow truck. This is for the thief that either tries for the clone key fob, or the can bus behind the glove box. It would take them too much time to pop the hood and look for something. Which they would have a hard time. There's no module to see mounted anywhere. And most Jeeps have wires running everywhere for some add on's like lights and such.
