Interesting, I'd love to see your feedback on this. Does it bother you while driving at all?
No not at all! It fact it may just be me but I think it looks really cool and honestly looks like it came with the jeep as it fits and looks seamless… perfect color match too. Love that it works like a Ring doorbell in that you can talk to the person in your car… while it’s meant to talk to a perpetrator, it’s been funny to talk to a friend while I ran into my condo or a store and either scare them half to death and in one case tell them to come on in because line was so long I didn’t want them to wait forever in the truck with no key or a/c! Haha! The video quality has been great for me so far as well!

Thanks a lot!! Now you’ve made me spend more money. ?. Just ordered one.
Not sure why anyone would go through the headache and expense of retrofitting a hard wired front camera after this

I purchased a GreenYi 5G wireless Wi-Fi camera from Amazon. Install took about an hour and could have taken much less, but I tend do chase squirrels…lol. At some point I may correct the angle a bit due to a touch of OCD, but it’s damn close. So, I was out < $60 and have a camera with fully adjustable guidelines…through wireless technology…less a power and ground wire. The ground is run to one of the numerous fender ground posts and the power is ran to the cigar lighter switched power fuse in the fuse box.

The last 2 photos where from a horizontal screen, which were too large of files to upload so I screen shorted them in portrait mode.

After I save my penny’s, get and install a Bulletpoint dash mount I’ll mount an iPad mini so I can run multiple tracking maps at the same time.

Great! One thing I wasn’t clear on after reading the instructions was how to widen and lengthen the guide lines. When your phone landscape mode…on its side… touch and hold on one of the guide lines for around 5 seconds. You’ll see horizontal and vertical adjustment lines. If I remember correctly, you can stretch them out or move two fingers apart from one another and then widen out. This weekend when I go down to the Ocala National Forest again I’m gonna stretch a tape measure out and see how accurate I can get with regard to reading it versus where my tires go.

I do IT stuff so I can buy Jeep stuff.
Finally got around to installing the Double Black Off Road fenders.... middle picture shows how they pretty much eliminate any tire poke with the 37/12.50 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs on 9' rims with -12mm offset.

Installed a Rock Hard 4x4 patriot aluminum full width bumper, Diode Dynamics S3 Max yellow fog lights, BantamX SPOD with touch screen, and Baja Designs OnX6 10” light bar. Need to get some wire for the light bar though.

Finally found a good deal on some Rubicon take-off wheels/tires for my four-month-old '22 Sport S. Picked them up yesterday and bolted them on today. It looks SO much better now - and It'll be more capable off-road. I'm probably gonna do the 1.5" Teraflex spacer lift up front to level it next. It's amazing how much better those wheels/tires make it look... I can't stop looking at it!!!

Before (these are the stock silver Sport wheels with plastic "Imposter" wheel covers snapped on top of them that the dealer installed. They look... "OK", but rattle over every bump.):

I have this exact same setup minus the teraflex qd and Mopar control arms sitting ready to be installed! Looking forward to seeing it all on your rig!

yes tires can make a huge difference in looks and performance...
my jeep wrangler had regular tires and looked like a car to me haha...but my new 2023 gladiator came with mud/terrain tires and they just make it look so much tougher and well....like a jeep should look! congrats!

Finally ran some wire through the firewall to fuse taps for some seat heaters (or whatever).
I’ve seen people poke through the large wire bundle in the passenger footwell and proper F@&k their Jeep.
I was scared of doing that so looked and found some people have gone through the nipple in the grommet above the wire loom, reaching it by taking their PDC/fuse box off.

I also was scared of doing that.
I tried feeling around from underneath the engine and you can kind of get your fingertips on it, nearly impossible to puncture and pass wire through though.

It looked somewhat accessible by removing the fender, so I took out the 5 10mm bolts and broke half the clips pulling the fender off. Still too buried to puncture and fish through the nipple  (But, it made fishing it through easier once I got it.)

soo, I decided to test fate and puncture the grommet from the footwell hoping I didn’t sever anything.
Success! I used a short screwdriver and tried to make sure I wasn’t angling it into the wiring.
Then I went back to the wheel well and fished a coat hanger through the holes.

then all I had to do was crimp to the leads of the fuse taps. I used the driver heated seat and steering wheel since I don’t have those.

Finally had enough of jump starting my truck and last week both my batteries tested bad again (second set of batteries) that I decided to go with the Genesis system.. Pretty happy so far.

I still need to redo all my accessory wiring as they don't reach now so it's pretty messy, but it started raining as I was finishing up.. Working in the driveway in winter isn't the most fun around here lol...
