Are those the red rock sliders?
https://www.extremeterrain.com/redrock-4x4-jeep-gladiator-bed-side-rock-rails-jg2317.html

I got a set last September and the welds were bad on the support that bolts to the frame. I took a video while I was pushing up on the slider: https://photos.app.goo.gl/uRjKo37erT3Ssiz66

I was so close to my trip I ended up just rewelding them. I was able to get a credit from Extreme terrain so it ended up working out, but I figured you might want to check yours, if they are the red rock sliders...

A dang good thing is knowing or finding out is your true friends.
Amen to that buddy. Good friends don’t question what you need, they’re just there when you need it. Get better!

Installed a sun rider tonight. It took longer to get the freedom panels in their bag than it did to install the sun rider. I got it for 10% off from the dealer. The dealer said it’s the twill version. It doesn’t feel made from thick material, but I have nothing to compare it to.

Yep, twill it is! Looks great. I sure do love mine.

Mine came with the factory ones, I wondered if there was a bigger one that could be used as a side step. I may look into these, assuming it would be a pretty easy swap out.

Installed some side steps so my poor wife wouldn’t have to keep using a little fold up stool to get into the truck anymore, plus extra protection is always nice. I wanted the ACE Engineering ones, but these Barricade ones were less than 500 for the pair delivered. I wanted to keep the stock rubi rails and these went on in conjunction no problem. They stick out about 3ish inches, just enough step to get yourself up and in.

Which barricades did you buy? I have not seen any that work with the rubi rails.

Thanks for the link. Do you think these would hold up as sliders without the pinch seam mounts?
I dont know if i'd use them to pivot on a rock, but they feel like they should hold up bangs and slides. I've jumped on them and they felt super stable.

Yes, they’re the Red Rock. I noticed the welds didn’t look great, but decided I’d give them a try. They’re better than what I had before (nothing lol). They seem solid enough for my needs for now. I was hoping to find a set of rubicon takeoffs, but the only ones I’ve found were outside of my current budget. I’m talking guys wanting as much for 1 slider with no bracket as I paid for this whole set.
When I get a bit more experience and start doing higher level trails, I’ll probably either replace them or get someone I know to do some welding on them, because I unfortunately never learned to weld.

I would have preferred the factory ones, but couldn’t find a set I was willing to pay for. These seem sturdy enough to me, didn’t flex or give when I stepped on them, but as noted by others the welds could be better.
they should be easy to swap on in place of the OEM sliders.
if you do swap them out, and decide to get rid of your OEM set, I’d be interested in buying them from you. I don’t really want the step function, and like The appearance of the OEM better.
