[Shift Happens]

Got a few little things done yesterday.
Installed my ebay tonneau cover. $120
Installed a molle panel that I use to hold my truck gun. Jl, Jlu, Jt Jeep 18-22 | Molle-platform-solutions.com
Cleaned up the cable for my wireless charger.
Installed a dashcam, hid a hardwire (need to figure out what fuses I can tap into and it'll be good to go).
Installed an alienshade front sunshade.
Oh, and replaced the antenna since I don't ever use FM radio. Eventually I'll do a delete once I read up on how its done.

Finished wiring the house battery today!! I bolted a piece of 1/2" plywood to the 813 molle panel so I could screw the components to the wood. Have the Renogy DCC50, breaker from the house battery, breaker to the distribution panel, on/off switch for the starter battery, ANL fuse under the hood on a fab'd mounting plate, the buss bar is grounded to the chassis under the spare tire (which is a factory ground point). I wanted that KA Slim battery so it tucks in behind the wheel well. Now I have the entire width of the bed to use for the fridge and a slide.

In addition to the Starlink 12v conversion I added an ice maker the other day! It runs on 12v. Happy wife, happy camping! Or something like that. Will provide some ice for my rum or whiskey drink at night as well as keep my wife's water cold.

The wood pieces it sits on are attached to the platform. They have holes drilled in them where the ice maker legs land. Helps hold it in place along with the strap over the top. They also lift it enough so I can open the hatch to get at what is under the platform without moving the ice maker.

Finally got around to getting an outrigger bike mount installed on the stupid truck. It only took custom HDPE blocks, and some light fabrication. I somehow lost my Thule T2 hitch mount rack in the divorce and honesty don’t want to hang bikes off the back of this thing where they get smashed going up the trail with the already excessive rear departure. So instead they’re where they will snag tree limbs. The other thing is that it’s going to be fun hoisting a 50lb eMTB up here.

Yes this looks insane but it’s insanely solid.

1. Yes but allowed.
2. I would use 3m foam tape so that it can be removed with no damage to what it was stuck to. Location looks good right there.

Love it. If you’re going to take the ice maker, you might as well take a pizza oven too, like an Ooni Karu or even a Trailfire Grill. Nothing flexes harder at a camp site or trail side than enjoying a wood-fired pizza and a nice scotch on the rocks while other people are eating pop tarts and mountain house freeze dried “fiesta rice” with a nice glass of warm water.
