Fucked up the tailgate.

I had to fix my JK's transfer case bushing and had dropped the trailer and the JK at a friends barn to do the work. Went to pick it up, dropped the trailer to the ball, the chains and the lights. Moved the trailer and we started to load the Jeep. Both of us forgot to latch the coupler to the ball. Y'all can guess what happened when we started to load the Jeep onto the trailer.

I still got a lot of work to do to attempt to mitigate the dent and the paint. It's never going to be prefect until I replace it.

Anyone got a Snazzberry tailgate you want to get rid of?

Installed a Teraflex Rear Trackbar Bracket in preparation for swapping out the 2” spacer in favor of some 4.5” springs.

I'm lucky that I can even post this. Momma didn't rip my head off. Didn't take before pics. Can provide pics of the work in progress in a few minutes.
That sucks. Sorry. I’ve been there. I bashed mine accidentally removing a cargo carrier over the summer. It was all my fault. I was pretty pissed. I have yet to get it fixed. No paintless repair shops near me.

Like Forrest Gump said, shit happens.

Id hold out......if possible, ton of flood cars coming to market. I got a tailgate for my Colorado years back for $100 on marketplace after I backed into one of those yellow parking poles at work

I did the same thing unloading my dual sport from the trailer but mine is so small you can hardly see it.
I didn't latch the ball and when I got the MC to the gate the tongue lifted up and the trailer rolled into the tailgate with me standing at the back of the trailer. I knew that if I stepped off the tongue would scrape down the tailgate and gouge it real bad so I yelled for my wife to come out to the garage to chock the trailer wheels and pull the Jeep out of the driveway.
I was looking at that yesterday and I think I can remove the inside panel and pop out the little ding most of the way.

Very nice and I agree the directions are not the best. I ended up getting a wiring harness for mine. Plugs right in to the factory wiring harness plug and has the 3 wires to attach to the lights without tapping in to the factory harness. Very easy. I pulled my fenders off instead of removing part of the liner. Was worried about breaking something but with the support of @WILDHOBO I got through it with no issues. Broke a few clips but bought extras before I started the project. Love mine.

Yea….I was told about the harnass… and looked into it. But at $30 each.… I wasn’t willing to spend the additional $60 on the project. 🤷‍♀️ Hopefully our install lasts & the push connectors are good. If not, we may have to go with the harnass.

I get it. Don't remember exactly how much I paid but I guess I wanted peace of mind. Hopefully yours will hold up with no issues.
