My JT is identifying as an EV today, so I plugged it in. Going to sit a while so NOCO genius 2d will be in charge.

New tires. Finally looking like a Jeep. I went with BFG KO3s in 285/75/18. No rub at all. Only time it’s off road is taking the family to a drive on beach. Doing a level in the next week or 2. Planning on going with Teraflex.

Swapped my rear bumper for a great condition mopar steel. A friend that replaced his passed it down. Mine was in pretty rough shape, but it did its job and there was zero body damage.

While I was at it I moved my rear dash cam camera from the license plate area to the left side of the tailgate handle.

After all was done. Washed it. :)

I added Oracle Lighting LED reverse lights. Easy install using the adapter. Bright as hell.

Crutchfield JBL dash speakers. I used their adapter for an easy install. Takes a little wiggling to get it in the dash. Sound is a little better. I’d say it was well worth the price.

RedRock Utility Rail System. Fits great and very well made. Used a tap to clear the factory spray in bed liner. Extreme Terrain says they are no longer selling it. I paid less than $200

I’m digging these reverse lights. Any chance they can be wired into an auxiliary switch as well to use when parked? For camp lighting or some work in the dark.

They definitely can. I have mine wired up to both aux and reverse using a one way diode to prevent back flow towards the reverse circuit when using the aux switch. It sounds more complicated than it is. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll happily walk you through it. Buy one of these and some 14awg wire and then hit me up.

And some marine grade butt connectors and heat shrink tubing.

Another warm day, another paint project. I actually started yesterday afternoon
and finish not long ago. I started painting the grill while on the vehicle but after catching much backlash on another board, Today I pulled the grill. After I had finished, I let it cure for a couple of hours.. God I hated the shine so I went another route. I Painted it with spray on bed liner.
Oh yeah, I like it muck better. First pic is wet primer:

Could you do a write up on it? I have had mine in for almost a year and would like to add the anytime option(I may or may not want to blind people with their brights on behind me :)

I use them for that occasionally. It works quite well. I do it for extreme tailgaters.

Pretty simple if you’re used to 12v wiring. Think of the diodes as two inputs going to one output. The inputs are the aux switch (or any switch) and the reverse circuit. The diode protects voltage from the aux switch from back flowing towards the reverse circuit when you’re not in reverse and the truck doesn’t expect voltage there. The single output goes to the lights. You only need one diode. The output from the diode goes to both lights. One input to the diode comes from the reverse circuit, which can be gotten from the oracle harness. The other input comes from your on-demand switch. Does that make sense?

The diode I linked has been the one I’ve been using since 2021. It hasn’t flinched. Granted I waterproofed all the connections extremely well with gratuitous amounts of shrink wrap and marine connectors. :)
