Did away completely with the aux battery!. been a couple of months and no problems. I'm waiting for the original one to poop the bed so I can get the H7 94R AGM bigger battery!.Battery last week, bypassed the aux. Cleaned the inside and replaced the air and cabin filters today. About a 4 beer job lol.
Jealous much?.... I want RCV axles, but way out of my wallets league!Bell housing in great shape. No broken parts. Just worn. No nicks or sharp areas. Rebuild should be perfect.

Still Bad A$$!Punk'n
They’re not cheap, but not totally insane. And they’re just bulletproof. I love having now rebuilt them, as I completely understand them. Disassembly and reassembly has always been my favorite way to learn. All done! Back on the truck. I’ll clean and reinstall the brakes after work tomorrow.Jealous much?.... Not ever.Installed steps on rear doors for when I put the half rack on!
Pics to come. I have to rest a day after the last couple of weeks straight mods.
Still have CavFab tie rod ends to install, as well as upper and lower adjustable control arms.
Does it ever end?.

I fully plan to keep mine forever. If that means I someday need a repower, oh well. Commonplace for boats. No biggie.Dude dont sweat the small stuff run top grade oil change often it will serve you well.
I have exclusively ran 0W-20 Amsoil signature series all except the oil the was in it on the lot . I change filter at 50% oil life and then at 10% i change oil again. Roughly 5000-6500 miles per oil change . Amsoil says the stuff will go 25,000 I dont give a rip. I change it when the oil minder says to . The proof is in my mileage.
If it isn't in a seal surface I can't see it affecting anything , honestly .I’ll definitely wire brush them. I just didn’t want to add thickness.
At that rate you will be passing it on to the grandkids in your will.Posts like this give me hope! I want to keep this one forever, but all the fear cam post have me worried I need to start saving now for a new engine. Just past the 5 year mark on May 4th and have 30k miles on it.
Thats what I am saying to , I'm old enough now that I dont want another big car payment .I fully plan to keep mine forever. If that means I someday need a repower, oh well. Commonplace for boats. No biggie.
I hit them with a softer wire brush in the drill. They’re cleaner than they were.If it isn't in a seal surface I can't see it affecting anything , honestly .
