That wasn’t the issue, but I still want to know what you mean if you don’t mind. I’m new to this drag link. I have a clocking problem on the pitman end actually. It wouldn’t install parallel to the pitman arm until I backed out the Allen indexing bolt. Then I clocked it correctly and tightened the 10mm clamp bolts. Then I gently tightened the indexing bolt until it stopped. It obviously didn’t seat completely since it’s not in the groove. But the steering is working great.
you did pretty much what i did after i felt slop

Did you go from the top or fender? I've heard fender is easier even with taking off the fender or liner but I haven't had to do that to mine yet. Dealer replaced it once under warranty already. Trying to decide what's best when the day comes I need to do it myself.
Fender without a doubt in my opinion. Buy some of the white clips. There are 11 total I believe. I usually break 5 or 6. 5 bolts up through the liner. Don’t separate the liner from the flare. If you don’t find the 5th bolt, keep looking. I promise there are 5. 1 forward facing Christmas tree body push clip at the lower front. Black. When you pull it, there is a single electrical connector for drl and blinkers.

Come on now, you know you want to. 🤣

In all seriousness, as much as it's a trail rig on 42's. I drove it through downtown Nashville the other day to meet another forum member and sell some LCA skids from my old axle. I may just have the little 3.6 that could, but regeared to 5.38's and I see 8th gear at 80 on the highway.

She does amazing on the highway, on the trail, and in the city and boy does she turn the heads...

So big. And yes. She said it. We all heard it.

Replaced the rear swaybar with a heavier duty one from whiteline. Replaced the rear links with fixed length 16” on center links from core 4x4. I found that I bent my metalcloak frame bracket reinforcement on the passenger side. I was able to partially straighten in in the press, but it’s not perfect, so the link isn’t perfectly straight or plumb on that side until it’s fixed. But it will work and it’s strong. I’ll call @Metalcloak and order a replacement. I hope I’m the first to bend it. Bragging rights and all. It saved me anyway. I drove home with a bent link and bracket, but I drove home without sway.

Gotta love working under a truck that's been off-road several times...

If you’re talking about dried mud and rocks, wait til you crawl under there after rock crawling and bending the skid mounts. They can become pretty sharp arm scrapers.
I learned that one from experience.

I just ordered the MC brackets. I run the Hellwig rear sway bar and it came with reinforcement plates and they are probably all I need. Not sure if the MC are needed and I doubt I would bend them or even the plates from Hellwig.

Front or behind the spare? The shoes are Romika. Not slippers. I wear them everywhere almost. I have three pairs. That pair is pretty close to retirement though.

Have you thought about a "flipped" kit for the rear sway bar? Like AntiRock or TeraFlex kits, might be others, not sure.

The reason I don’t is towing. I want a rock solid sway bar back there, even if that means I replace it every couple of years.

this whole set up is flawed you com down on a rock and it forces up at the link and no give upwards. I bent my tera flex links and the factory mount, also the upper bolts stripped on the way out.. I replaced with metal cloak links and drilled out the upers for some 10.5 bolts but I think i really just need to ditch the whole stock set up for a rock jock or tera flex forged set up that mounts the sway bar up top I also tow and i think if I add bags it should be fine
also rock jock has firmer bars too https://www.rockjock4x4.com/product...-antirock-kits/antirock-jeep-jt-antirock-kits
