Thank you, I think the $20/month is the difference, but I haven't called Jeep to confirm.
You can get a Mojave or Rubicon without the premium tech package. It still has most of the same features, but won't have nav, the Alpine audio, or an autodimming rearview mirror. Still has the wifi hotspot available, and sirius xm. Still got the heated and powered seats and garage door opener too.

It wasn't a sticking point on our purchase as we seldom use the built-in nav, but having the mirror with the manual dimming toggle underneath like it's 1996 is kinda funny. I'm betting it's all just software lockouts too. I bet there's zero physical difference behind our dashboards. I can't have HD radio? Really? That's entirely software. But I guess it won't be long until we'll have to pay extra to have any terrestrial radio in a car.

Mine has this:
1758549381070-lm.webp

Yours has all of that plus:

1758549425277-xd.webp
Yes mine had everything except leather seats ,rear console,( but I have the ports and 115volt)
I guess if you got leather seats it had rear console. I didnt know that when I bought it

That would have been too hot for my liking. I would have level checked and capped off at 90F. At 130F you’re already outside the top end of the temp window.
Let's have some science here....how much would volume increase of 5 quarts of fluid at 30 degrees difference? Not much. Maybe a few ounces? I doubt any more than that. Maybe I will get a beaker and fill it up with a quart and then measure the volume at 70 degrees or room temp and then heat it up to 140 and see how much it grows. I think that would be interesting. I also doubt it would amount to much.

I'll be checking it again in a few hundred miles, at the bottom end of the recommended temp range. And I've read of a number of these that were under filled at the factory and ran around for tens of thousands of miles before it was discovered, and there were no known issues. I'm pretty confident if mine is under filled, it will be barely so, and not by as much as those.

I'll post up when I get to that point. I'm not putting many miles on it right now, but I'll certainly check it before I head off to Moab or before I tow.

While I agree, and believe you are just fine - be sure to multiply the growth in volume of that single quart by the total number of quarts in the transmission.
Again, there's a RANGE of temperatures, that alone suggests there's a range between which ends of that range things are just fine.
Otherwise they'd give you a single number, and that's the law - 100 degrees and not a degree more or less.
But they didn't - they give you a range.

My conclusion - you are fine. Maybe, maybe at the lower end of the "full" range, but still INSIDE that range.
I'm sure the factory is always 100% perfect on every fill of every part of these things, differentials to engines to EHPS to brakes to transmissions, (he says sarcastically)
My brake reservoir was so full, fluid came out when I pulled the cap! I pulled the cap because I was unable to see the top of the fluid- then I found out why.

I remember back around transmission #2 or #3, I drove to the dealership to bring to their attention a whine I was hearing and the shop Forman said, we’ll bring that right in and check the levels for you! (Transmission temp was at 198F) How would they have checked level was correct? …anyway, a few moments later I got it back and he confirmed all was good! I can guarantee that if they pulled the plug to look, even with the engine running it would have been the sideways version of ol’ faithful, Yellowstone.

Well, at the end of the day the transmission was toast and replaced under warranty anyway.

Science is over rated.

Yeah, the percentage of growth would be multiplied. 1 quart makes that easy.

Heheee, shot glass measurement, rule of thumb, eyeball measurements. Underfilled at the factory is no joke, not fluid related, I got the very least passable alignment from the factory.

Oracle backup lights put in today. Need to run a wire back from engine bay auxiliary switch wiring so I can power them up even when not in reverse. Diode already in place behind right tail light in prep for that added wiring.
Right now - they work in reverse...............

Ran the snow plow control wire into the cab - just need to take the dash apart and get the control power feed wire connected to the aux switch ACC wire on the right side of the center.
Ran the control wire through that plastic plug where clutch rod would go in a stick.

All engine bay snow plow wiring is done - including connections to all of the lights, turn signals and so on, so only the control wiring is left. Then - it's time to see how things actually work.

Love all the new lights. I have my Oracle backup lights on one of my auxiliary switches as well. Love having that option.

All I know is I do have Nav .. I thought all the upper trims had Nav.
However I pay 20 a month I think it is and I have all this other stuff in these screen shots also. Additionally I have the onboard wifi which really help in a rural setting as it is a wide band 4G different from old 4g and 5G and allows me to make calls through it and get on the internet in alot of places I otherwise couldn't do.
I guess its premium tech package Sirius XM also .

Hmmmm Elkins. Many years ago I went skiing a couple of times close to your area at Canaan and Timberline. Stayed at a timeshare both times in between the resorts. Not much else to do in the area though so we just skied and skied lol.

No HD radio is just FM radio station and when received on newer radio is will display the song title and Artist name and is supposed to be like the old FM stereo signal verses FM standard.

It's also digital broadcast of the signal rather than analog, so it's a better sound quality.
So the FM radio in your 2000 Jeep will just get the same analog signal, not the digital music
Because it's digital it can carry the extra data shown on the screen.

So that's why mine says HD .. But you can de-select HD on any station

Kinda thought so. I like the app for locking the doors when I'm unsure if I did or did not lock
When HD radio start on the JTs and JLs?
I would imagine day one as long as you had the proper trim level. My 2021 JL had it. My 2016 and 2017 Tacoma's did too. It's interesting in 2025 that it's not a standard feature in the Uconnect.
