I'm kicking around the idea of the flush tail lights. I like them. But the quirky, factory bulbous tail lights can't help but make you think "Why did Jeep do this ?" and so they have a certain ugly charm.
I tend to think it also was traditional, the 1964 J-200 thrift side had taillights to the side while the townside bed had the lights mounted flush in the rear quarter panel.. it also fell in line with the newest Wrangler iteration.

Morimoto is very close to releasing their flush tails. You can get great looking flush lights and the reliability of their brand, vs others that have quality issues. There is even a recentish Quadrtec video and they are rocking defective tails from a vendor on this forum. They sell the stuff and have a defective light, pretty bad look to me.
Thanks for confirming this!!! Have you seen them yet or do they look similar to the JL ones? I haven’t heard back from them yet on this topic.

Wife’s Wrangler broke passenger side visor mount, of course I had two sets off of that big site to put on , but when doing it they were a tough fit and was not thrilled checked out what is new since three years ago when I bought them and low and behold a different design and they go in very easy!……Jack

Nice. Seeing that these all fail eventually due to "monkey hands" where do I get a set?

I may be cheap , but if I thought something was not looking right or gonna work right I still wouldn't buy it even If it seems popular to do. I always been an outlier on stuff. Thats one of the reasons I own a Jeep I was the first & guy in the entire oil and gas system I work to even own a Gladiator and use it in the capacity that I am . There is a guy on the pipeline side an inspector that has a Mojave. To me the lights are just part of what makes it what it is . I like them sticking out it matches the fenders sticking out. It's just Jeep so I hope they work for you but I humbly pass.

Only reason you couldn't pass is because I was tabletopping some god awful rocks! Jeep is finally running well and I am happy with it. Found a MISSING steering track bar end nut. That is what was causing my ESC to kick on and the front drive shaft to shift 2" left and right. Seems the shop didn't torque it and I didn't catch it before it departed the bolt. Nothing $5 couldn't fix and my local bolt supplier.

Check both batteries to make sure they are in good health. Low voltage sometimes could lead to random warning messages.
Mine does that everytime the aux battery is dying.

Ive gotten lucky and just rubbed my tail lights on a few rocks or dirt walls, so eventually im sure to do as many have and bust one off or crack one. So to prevent this I'm planning to swap to a reliable flush tail light. To each their own.

Yep!! I haven’t bashed mine yet. Key word there is yet. Just another joy of owning a longer off-road vehicle. Get to rub the booty on everything off-road. Plus the take offs get thrown into the box with all the other “just in case” parts.
