A dead pedal is one of those things that I never knew I needed, or existed, until I started doing research trying to figure out why my left leg was so fatigued after a few hours driving my Gladiator. This never happened to me before with my other cars since they ALL have a place to rest your left foot (like my wife's CX-70).

I bought a good quality one on Amazon and since then it has been a first mod to every Jeep I own. The difference is night and day.

installed the Hotheads headliner. Took about 2 hours did have to remove the rear roof. They are having a free shipping and 20% off for veterans and retired military as well as first responders. GOVX had another $25 off. Gets it down to what some of the other headliners sell for makes the radio sound great well worth the money

Retired. Finally !!
Right there with ya!!!! Well a couple inches taller but not by much and only if I’m standing straight, but who does that anymore?
Actually, I stand perfectly straight; always have, and it's not a military brainwash thing. Very recently at the doctor, he told me I had "perfect posture". I told him that up until 7th grade I was only 4'11". I had to stand straight or I looked even shorter and the teasing was already non-stop. By the end of 9th grade I maxed out at 5'6" and still stand straight out of habit because I'm still short. He tried to be nice and said I "wasn't that short", I laughed and said, "if you have to toss in the adjective, "that", well, I'm still short.". He looked at me as if he offended me. I waved my hand with a smile.

So, hopefully, me obsessing about my height as a kid will serve me well in my golden years....

Best part ? I have 4 sisters, two older and two younger. I'm in the middle and the only boy.

I'm the tallest.

Installed hood latches from Combat Offroad because I hated the whack-a-mole game of chasing the OEM latches catching on one side while the other is under the hood only to release the latched one to have the other side get stuck under the hood.
Also installed a few badges from Grateful Fred because The Music Never Stopped 😉

I like those metalcloak flares. A lot. How do they attach structurally? Is there any risk that they could push into the body and damage the fender? I’ve often pondered what’s better. On one hand plastic ones break off easily. But when they do, the body isn’t usually damaged. But they’re too big and are in the way or articulation, depending on the build. I’d love your thoughts as someone who has replaced them.

I really dig them. They are stout, but damn heavy. They attach with nutserts. If I were to do them again I’d probably spend the extra money to get their aluminum version which are the same look. I may still swap out to aluminum in the future but they are really really strong. I’ve knelt on them and put all 200lbs without an issue. Great product.

That’s really helpful. Thanks. Are you happy with the turn signals being bright enough to be effective?

I installed a pair of Air Lift air springs and compressor unit. It will be useful when I haul my camper, UTV, or loads of stuff to the landfill in my trailer. Installation was easy because there was a drain plug directly to the right of the compressor. I ran the wiring inside the frame rail and brought it into the engine compartment and over to the battery. The air lines went across the top and into each bag. The electric compressor is completely unnecessary and overkill. I purchased the unit for another pickup and never got around to installing it. Save a lot of $$ and just add the bags and run the fill line to the rear bumper.

I installed a pair of Rigid lights onto the front of my Glad. I put lights on all of my off-road vehicles because my wife and I frequently go on after dinner drives into the hills.

That's awesome. You definitely hit some of the highlights. You can't go wrong with any of the pub food either. Glad you had a great trip and made it back safely. I will be headed back from Charleston tomorrow and right now I am at Lake Marion staying at my sisters. This was from last night.
