I removed the Teraflex 1.5" leveling kit and installed the AEV 2.5 Dualsport lift. Also added the Teraflex front adj track bar.
Took me and a buddy 11 hours, but got it done and drives great.

Not all literally today...

Installed the Mopar soft-rollup tonneau, soft-top and blue, full-length Alien Sunshade.

The tonneau is just what I wanted. No rails on my bed and near full length bed access. I think it may need removal for some full access needs, otherwise I'd be afraid of it getting pushed into the glass (depends on what I'm hauling).

I don't have the Sunrider to compare, but I absolutely approve of the ease of opening soft-top vs the Freedom panels and carrying them around. Plus I can easily take the rest off way easier than taking off the full hard-top. I don't mind the man-bun at all, and won't get caught in the rain as fully (until I take the doors off).

I like the shade as I'd otherwise bake in the sun, but it still gives the open air feel. Not as open visually, but you can still look up and see nature. The blue actually makes the sky appear more blue.

I've found the mesh doesn't flap even on the highway, so no bother there. It makes un/latching the soft top a bit harder as you have to pull it out of the way some, but just adds a few seconds.

If you're really tall it may take up some of your headroom. I bump it if I look up with a hat on, or have sunglasses on the brim. I'm 6'2" and it's pretty much right above my head when sitting, so just out of range of rubbing on me the whole time. Mine being a full length it actually goes up and over the center speaker bar, so it gives a little more space where my head is. See the pics where it angles up at that point.

Not sure if front-only would have given me that benefit. So it may be a good thing I missed the $18 front-only Prime deal by minutes and instead ended up with the full for $42.

Took a grandchild to college yesterday, about 400 mile round trip. Trip down was stuffed full of bed, furniture, etc and three off us in the JT (3.73 stock gears, 32” stock tires, AT and a 3.6 and 27k miles) everything was as usual on the trip down. Coming back empty with two of us, cruse control set on 80 mph with a small to medium head wind on gradual long up hill climbs the transmission would do its normal drop to 7th or 6th depending on grade and increase of head wind. About half way home on the same kind of long up hills the engine would jump up in RPM about 300-400 without dropping into a lower gear, then in 3-5 seconds later it would drop RPM back down where it was holding at the cruise control speed then jump up in RPM again, then back down. It did this for 8 or 9 cycles and I took it of cruse control. Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea what caused this? It has me a little weirded out. Sorry for the windy post but I wanted to give you some details. Thanks

To avoid it shifting I would put it in M7 and leave it.

JTGuy, it didn’t shift up or down, all that it did instead of shifting down was increase in engine RPM by 300-400 RPM like it would have if it had shifted down going up the hill, then a few seconds later it would drop the engine RPM like it had shifted into a higher gear. Once it lowered the RPM back down to the original engine RPM then it repeated that process over and over, never shifting gears. I later in the trip tried M7 and M8 without the cruise control off and it didn’t do anything wrong. I could only make it do it with the cruise control on going up a slight grade. I came over one 5000’ grade at 70 mph with the cruise control on and it never did anything wrong, it down shifted properly and upshifted properly down the back side of the grade. Weird as hell.

Installed a Yakima Road Shower to replace my Joolca. The Joolca worked OK but requires a lot of stuff: hoses, pump, propane, etc. The Yakima stores some of my water and is super easy and reliable. Gonna give it a full test in Utah soon.
