What does "Sequenced for Production" mean?

Order accepted for my JT Diesel on 3/31/2023, and has been in limbo ever since. I've checked all the various trackers just moments ago, and no status change. It has been at D status for 82 days. What exactly does this mean?

I received this from Jeep Customer Care this morning:

Thank you so much for your patience while we worked to resolve the concerns. We have received the following confirmation.

Your vehicle is sequenced for the production.

I will continue to monitor your order for additional delivery updates and I anticipate having further updates to share with you as they become available. I wanted to let you know that your order has our attention & priority and we should begin receiving updates pertaining to your order soon.

Aside from the detail if you have any concerns regarding your vehicle please don't hesitate to share those concerns in your email response. We will be happy to look into next steps on your behalf.

D1 is scheduled for production.
I ordered mine the afternoon of May 1st, 2022 and look at the status of mine -

I was lucky and got it from an insider in Toledo. I can't even recall his name but I got that just after the dealer told me mine was built and ready to be shipped or words to that effect.
This is direct from factory information and accurate down to the second.

Diesel is still awaiting a fix for the HPFP. I wouldn't expect any movement on this until that recall is resolved.

Very true - didn't they even drop the ability to order a diesel due to this?

I got that same email from that same person on 7/5 but for my 6MT order. The dealer checked to see if there were any updates to the scheduled build date but as of last Monday there wasn't. To me all it means is that its back to D1 status after being regressed for so long. The only difference is that I know that 6MT JTs are showing up at dealers again so I had hoped it meant mine would be produced soon. I'm not sure what to make of it now that your diesel order is back to D1. Basically, I'm not holding my breath and you probably shouldn't either.

I've found the Jeep tracker website to be lame - at least it was last year. My sales guy had more details and his info was up to date. The tracker site had me sitting not yet built and he said naw, it's built and actually been shipped.
It just doesn't seem to be very accurate in some cases.

Agreed. Its only as good as the data Jeep is willing to release publicly anyway. I just found it interesting how little my dealer was able to see as well. My order still shows an estimated ship date of 3/17 for their view. That was 4 months ago.

I sent a text to my sales guy. We'll see if my ship date remains 6/5/2023.
