Some lifts do not come with brackets or adjustable track bars to keep axles centered. So on the 3 lifts I have done, (JK, JL, JT) I added front adjustable track bars and on the JL, a rear. The JL has a Mopar lift, but the JK and JT were AEV. They came with a rear track bar bracket that perfectly set the rear.

It isn't critical. Being off a little isn't noticeable to 99% of people. But I notice it and want the axles to be perfectly lined up. Rough Country makes inexpensive ones with forged steel and they are MUCH stronger than OEM track bars, use OEM-style bushings, and are adjustable while mounted, which makes fine-tuning very easy.

Little late... but interested in knowing what you used to apply the POR15. Just a paint brush?

I used a foam brush to get in the hard to reach areas and on the rears. I sprayed the rest. I still have a lit of the frame left to paint...

Are the sway bar disconnects supposed to be mounted in that orientation? I have never seen front disconnects that are released on top, usually they are released from the bottom and then clipped up out of the way with the sway bar itself.

Ya, that makes perfect sense, just surprised the shop would make that mistake.

Most of these things have been mentioned, but here is what I did when I did my Clayton 2.5 OL+:

1. MetalCloak rear sway bar reinforcement brackets.
2. RockJock carrier bearing spacer.
3. RockHard 4x4 LCA and lower shock mount skids.
4. Clayton FAD skid (I had to grind some of the RH LCA skid on the passenger side to get this to mount, not sure if a different brand would work better out of the box).
5. Steering stabilizer relocation (I had done the Clayton kit earlier, but would be easy to do during lift) with upgraded stabilizer (I went Fox 2.0).
6. Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks.
7. I haven’t done these yet but you could consider upgraded front steering components (Tie Rod, Drag Link, etc).
8. I just purchased but haven’t installed a sector shaft brace (I went MetalCloak).
9. I marked everything with a torque pen for easy identification later.

Have fun!

How are you liking the Dobinson's mrr shocks so far? I just ordered a clayton lift but keep going back and forth on what shocks i want. the Dobinson's are at the top of my list along with the fox 2.5's but i cant find any reviews for them on a gladiator. Thanks

They have been great!!! I took it offroading a few weeks ago and went over a lot of rock gardens with the family and softening the low compression made a big difference in ride comfort, not one complaint, same trail in Oct before the lift, we were bobble heading badly. My first test was over a washboard gravel road, with medium on low and high compression, i was able to cruise over it at about 30-35 mph and it was a smooth as you could expect, hardly noticed the bumps, could have gone faster but didnt want to be that guy. When driving on paved roads i have it bit stiffer and it handles turns and those curvy mtn roads so much better than with the previous OEM fox shocks. I would have to slow down or I would get some lean or that swaying boat feeling. I havent experienced any of that, it stays level when turning with speed, like 70 mph. I think putting the 35s on wider method wheels also helps with the handling. I haven't messed with the rebound setting yet but could not be happier. I have a heavy to very heavy set up depending on what im doing and having the adjustability has been exactly what I wanted and so far so good. I was worried about losing the ride of OEM fox shocks and maybe being to stiff but thats not an issue, I can adjust them to feel the same only they handle the unexpected pot hole or crack in the road much better. No regrets. You might check out the Toyota Land Cruiser forums for reviews, you'll see a lot of overlanding Land cruisers on Dobinsons. Good Luck!
