What Is Your 'TEMPT' Color?

As Jeep falls farther behind in their paint schedule, some are succumbing to the lure of other colors (cue music: Another One Bites the Dust).

So what is your 'tempt color'? How long will you wait?

Having been burned before waiting for Jeep colors, I got bright white as soon as they hit the lot (mid May). I wanted Gobi or Yellow but wasn't going to sit around waiting. Looks like I'd be waiting another year if I hadn't just went for it. Seems stupid, I'd have paid extra to have a 'custom' color, so Jeep is leaving money on the table with their stupid paint shenanigans. And then they end up over producing the basic colors because everybody that got tired of waiting just went ahead and bought one, making them look like high demand colors when in reality people just get stuck with them.

Wish Ocean Blue Metallic was available on the JT. If I didn’t order and pick up my white Launch, I would’ve waited for Hydro Blue.

Hoping to hold for hydro blue. If not, I’ll go sting gray. I liked punk’n on all the pics I saw and was ready to order one, but I saw a punk’n wrangler In person at the dealer and wasn’t in love as much as I’d hoped. AND a coworker also just showed up with a punk'n Wrangler. Next!

Gator was my first choice, but I simply couldn't wait. Also, my Canadian dealer told me that gator probably wouldn't be available to order until 2020 (who knows what's actual fact), so I went with my 2nd choice tie of sting grey and put my order in on 6/22. Still stuck in D status though, no movement. If the gator order banks open up I may jump onto a new order, but i dont think my dealer would let me. I had to lay down a $2000 deposit to get a Rubicon manual, because they didn't think they could sell my spec

It has been going through a vote for the past couple weeks. Hopefully the contract negotiations go well and no strike is needed.

When considering resale, I wonder about the timely trendy colors which provoke a knee jerk reaction.
However w/ Jeeps wide range of color selection perhaps resale might not be an issue.

I was very tempted by Hydro Blue. I love that color. But I bought when they were dealing on the lot and the only in-stock color with my options list was Black. So I bought it. My color is my only regret with my truck. It’s still nice but I miss the blue.

My tempt color was nacho, sadly by the time I realized nacho was available it was already gone and I couldnt find a gladiator optioned the way I wanted with nacho so red it was.

I’ve got my personal favorite, gator, so there’s not really another color that would tempt me. Nacho is a close second though. I would have been happy enough with that color. Whenever I’m ready to trade, if nacho is available then I might go for it. That’s probably 5 to 7 years from now though. Maybe longer.
