Different than the license plate plug.

The license plate plug I found looks to be an older revision than what is actually used on the Euro / Asia spec Gladiators. As I had mentioned in the other thread, it looks to be the same but with polarity intended to be reversed and the newer revision taking a larger gauge wire (0.75 for both power and ground instead of 0.35 and 0.50 in the older revision)

Here's the one to use. 68137868AC. They're not exactly cheap, but they're a bit better than what @steffen707 had posted earlier! I know @AllMoparParts.com typically has free shipping codes, too.

Woah, so is this $42.23 for just the plug? Does it at least have 10" of wire coming out of it?

I'll know in about a week, but I'm guessing maybe 5"-8" lead tops. Ordered 2 at $41.50 but tax and shipping brings it to $101.89. I'll see if I can pin it into the existing connector. I looked at the master plug connection right above the left rear tire and I see wires in the 1, 6, and 12 pin slots, so that's good to see. May have to find a generic connector to put where the license plate connector is for ease of bumper removal later.

Edit: I ordered a replacement stock bumper harness, figured it's easier to work on building up one outside of removing the original harness to do the same thing. ETA 25-27th of March. Hoping the connector allows me to put in new pins like I've done on previous Super Duty projects. I'll be documenting everything along the way to help others, until the factory harness becomes available.

Someone sap a pic of the wording on the connector itself and maybe I can identify it.

Also, you can probably buy it here for way, way less than the dealer.

As a diesel tech that works on a wide variety of different vehicles and machinery, I absolutely love that site.

All the parts are starting to ship. The foglights will be here next Thursday, standard bumper wiring harness just shipped also expected next Thursday, and the two plugs are special handling, and waiting 3-5 days for them to get to the shipper to be sent my way. I'll source out the extra color coded wires, heat shrink tubing off Amazon, and hope the plug in the standard wiring harness connector is user configurable, if not, I'll find it off that website posted a few posts back.

Ordered 10' white/orange stripe and white/green stripe wires tonight to match the factory wiring color codes (at least what's coded for JL's) I'll get the black ground wire locally along with shrink tubing. Stock harness now scheduled for Monday delivery, fog lights for Tuesday (although they've been sitting at local FedEx since yesterday, so no idea why the extra day) and no shipping notification yet on the specially plugs. Again my plan is to make everything look factory if at all possible using the factory plug and mounting clips. So far, I'm $210 into this mod with all parts ordered.

I need to verify the 10 wires out of one connector, 1 is for the license plate lights, 6 for trailer harness, 1 for ground, and remaining 2 for fog lights (hopefully and not parking sensors). I need to trace them back to the 7 pin plug to verify.

If I go off the JL wiring diagram for sensors, I should be good as they are completely different colors for the parking assist and backup sensors and the same colors are in the wiring harness connector on the right side behind the right rear wheel. Fingers crossed. It'll be Thursday before I can really take it apart and look at it. Maybe by then I'll have most of the parts.

Edit: it also explains the two connections I couldn't figure out before. Left for license plates/fogs, right for sensors.

Stock wiring harness arrived. Definitely user serviceable with a micro screwdriver and paper clip. Just need to find the pins, but they look like ones I may be able to get at an auto parts store bulk pack. I did break a pin locking sliding clip upon disassembly, but it'll go back together with the two broken locking clips sliding into their channel. I'll have to remove the 16-pin connector when I get this half pinned, and pin it on both 4-pin and 16-pin connector. That 16-pin connector is the trailer wiring harness pigtail that connects to the trailer plug, and license plate. I'll see if I can find that harness part number when I pull it out later in the week. Can I do this easier, absolutely with a t-tap at that main harness connector and do it all within 30 minutes, but it'll expose those two wires to eventual corrosion, as that 16-pin plug is in the rear wheel well, and I want it to look stock.

Edit: I'll also see if the ground terminates for the trailer harness along the frame and ground the fogs there too.
