Nope, not relay triggered.Because they are relay triggered and not BCM fired directly?
Or were you looking at a trailer connected, which ha incandescent lights which do cause delay?
Just curious as you see trailers connected to newer trucks and you can sure tell the truck has LED vs. the trailer non-LED - it causes a delay as the trailer bulb heats up and lights, then fades away instead of instantaneous on/off.
You could check continuity with a multi meter to verify. The 7 pin plug wiring is standardized.Sweet! I do have the tow package. Do you have any additional information as to which wire is the trailer light circuit or the jumper you are referring to?
Matt
Yeah, they are run by relays - that's why I asked if it was maybe due to that.Nope, not relay triggered.
No incandescent trailer lights either. I am using euro factory LED rear fog lights as supplemental brake/turn lights. Part numbers are 68338390AA & 68338391AA.
The wire is the reverse light and groundDo you have the tow package? If you do you could tap into the trailer light circuit for that. That’s what I do for my lighted hitch plug. There are jumpers you can plug into the trailer wiring and not cut into the factory wiring.
This one one plugs into the tail light connection and you could tap into it if you don’t have the Tow package.

Oh, I thought you were asking if I had wired relays into the circuits.Yeah, they are run by relays...
Bet that's to run their auxiliary backup lights, such as their bumper mounted JT backup lights. Those small pigtails coming out by the flat 4-pin connector are just like their backup lights use.The wire is the reverse light and ground
I do like this one better it also provides not only 2 reverse wires - it also provides a flat 4 - and you do not need to tap into factory harness, just inset this between the tow plug and the harness

Yep the reverse are. The flat can also use for something like opt7 tripe row brake and signal bar or the oracle racetrack for jeep just nice having something that you do not need to tap factory harness so no “voids warranty” mumbo jumbo from dealer serviceBet that's to run their auxiliary backup lights, such as their bumper mounted JT backup lights. A multipurpose trailer plug pigtail is a really handy tool to keep on board. Lots of applications. I use it to occasionally run a 12v transfer pump too.![]()
I charge or maintain my JT's batteries through the trailer plug and the adapter I use has connections to slot 4 and 1 (hot and ground)
