Hey guys, I know this is a stupid question ... but did Jeep come up with some crafty place for me to store the wheel lock key, or does everyone just toss them in the glove box / center console?

I ask because I don't like having it rattle around and would prefer to have some clever little spot to tuck it away.

After years in the tire business I would recommend you get rid of it. They break easily, are easily lost, and if someone wants your wheels it won’t stop them. At work we sell master sets that a criminal would just need to spend $100 to have a key for everyone’s wheels in town.

to answer the original question, I don’t know of any place designed to house one.

I disagree, the theft deterrent only has to send the thief over to the next unprotected vehicle! I've had these for many years and never had a problem.
My sentiments exactly. 95% of the criminals are looking for an easy hit, and it'll make my truck just hard enough for them to move on.

Now, I just need to find somewhere to put it where it won't roll around and rattle ...

I put mine in the trunk where the jack goes. If I'm going to change a tire, I'm going to need the jack. Never had any rattling problems.

I keep mine in the glove box, in the plastic bag it arrived in. It doesn't roll around or rattle. The glove box is where the dealer will look for it. Clever spots are nice, until you can't remember where it is.

Put it in the bag where the tire iron is stored attached to your jack.

Crap. I thought I was replying on the JL forum. I switch back and forth so much. Lol

For the JT, I don't have wheel locks. Glad the JT spare is under the bed. Not so worried about it getting stolen.
Ha! That was lol funny ....gotcha covered ??

I have a little roadside emergency/first aid kit that’s Velcro’d to the carpet under the rear seat and then I just tuck the wheel lock package between the kit and the corner of the plastic bin.
