I bought the Avapow on sale for $60. It has been amazing, even starts F550 ambulances that were completely dead. Ended up getting another one for my sons Tahoe. He has had to use it twice now. Now I need 2 more for my wife and daughters cars.

I bought a JNC770. Used it on a couple of cold mornings. Works like a charm. Been using JNC for a long time and they hold a charge for a long time, summee and winter. My JNC gets the job done, big or small.

I got the NOCO GBX45. I am not that impressed with it. It does start my 3.0L Diesel however the battery on it does not stay charged for very long. I have to keep checking it every few weeks to make sure it is charged. It takes almost 3/4 of the battery to start the JT from a dead battery. I probably need to get a larger one and probably will at some point.

Clore Automotive Jump-N-Carry JNC770R 1700 Peak Amp Premium 12 Volt Jump Starter - Red $153.99 on Amazon. I will swear by the JNC770R. It really works, really well.

For those reading this because you are looking for a booster, know at least two things. First one would be where to connect your jump box leads. It would be very easy to connect the negative lead directly to the main negative post. This would be wrong. It needs to connect to the top plate above the IBS. Second, if you are looking at a booster, you most likely had some kind of event, or perhaps your batteries are getting old. If you had an issue with your batteries, fix the issue. Do not rely on a booster to get by.

I had a booster once. Never needed it ( for myself). After two years of it sitting under my seat, it would not charge any more, mostly due to my neglect. I only charged it 5 or 6 times. I thought it to be a waste of money, and got me involved with stranded motorist problems. Most of the time my diesel jump box wouldn't even start a 4 cylinder gas car because the issues were not battery related, just that they killed the battery trying to start their car. I've had more headaches trying to help others with my jump box. I will still help out others, if I can. Just not with a jumpbox.

One for the trail, yes!

Antigravity xp-10-hd and a Schumacher DSR108 is what I use. Both have been able to start a diesel truck without issues.

I bought a cheapy EverStart from Walmart that had a little power station with an outlet, a couple USB ports, and air compressor. Jumped my Jeep in the freezing cold with a DEAD battery on two separate occasions no problem. Was only about $85 delivered.

Interesting. I got one of these back in July (Prime Day deal I think) and charged it up when I got it and threw it in my truck and hadn't touched it since. I was away for work and went to start my truck yesterday and it wouldn't turn over, so I grabbed it from under the seat. Still had a full charge and jumped my Diesel without issue. The one jump took it from full to the yellow charge level.

I wonder why yours doesn't hold a charge well and mine does? Maybe temperature?
