Wow, I can't say any of you are wrong. Great education and feedback. I choose to buy down in the lower ranges, and am forced to have fun with a slow build. 2 Max Tows. The 06 Unlimited was not a Rubicon. The 02 TJ was a great 6cyld Sport.

After looking at 24 inventory and 25 price drop I built a willys online. Nice locker but you don't get the Rubicon/MaxTow axles. That was what started my post.

Looking at the Ultimate Dana 44 Front now. T-Case is great as it is. 4.10 will be fine. Budget stuff but still the best Jeep I ever owned out of all 6.

as in?? certainly none of the major automobile manufacturers are run by car enthusiasts rather thsn corporate trained and educated business folks...

”Major” as in the Big Three, et al., you are correct. However, you look at Spyker, Koenigsegg, McLaren, Bugatti, Lotus, Caterham, even Ferrari (at least to some extent still), are for enthusiasts by fanatics.

When I was at Stellantis, I didn't have a single enthusiast co-worker.

Beyond the kind of people who like cars for aesthetic reasons, pretty cars, shiny cars, the Car and Driver type person.

Saying yeah, I have the 440 all ready to drop in my D100 got blank looks, inside of the plant that built the thing lol.
