Spent a couple of nights camping on White Rim Road trail in Canyonlands National Park outside Moab, Utah the last week of October. Easy trail, but amazing scenery along the nearly 100 mile journey. It rained almost 1/2 an inch on the day we got into town , which resulted in a lot of unexpected water crossings and a lot more mud than we’ve found in Utah before.

How was the river crossings? Want to do it, but feel like I need a buddy for the river just in case.

I ran the trail at the beginning of Sept after a major storm. The ranger recommended not to run it but we did with no difficulty. We did it over two day. Such a beautiful trail.

River crossing?

We did it mid Oct last year and heavy rain/snow storms the 2 days prior and no issues for us either. 7 hours with stops and side trips.

As far as the “rivers”

It was raining all morning and continued as we were headed out to the trail, causing some temporary flooding. All of the “rivers” were completely dry by the next day. And none were difficult to cross at all wet or dry.

Tire noise, I’m probably not the best judge as my old TJ had Nitto Mud Grapplers and sounded like a propeller plane from a 1/4 mile away.(and It didn’t bother me at all) The General Grabber x3 is definitely not quiet, but they’re a lot quieter than those were.

LOL this reminds me of people asking me how drivable my Jeep is... well it depends on what you compare it to. Comparing it to your modern full size pickup? It'll suck! Compare it to my old XJ? It's a freaking dream!

I ran that trail at the beginning of October and we got a monsoon on the way in too. It was absolutely epic

Which campsite did you stay at? We stayed at Labyrinth B

We spent the first night at Airport C and the second night at White Crack. Both were beautiful scenery, but White Crack is probably the best campsite on White Rim Road. It’s about a mile off the main trail with only the one site. The views are almost 360 degrees of the canyons and the La Sal Mountains in the distance.
