OK, Which one of you was checking the status of your JT and broke the internet? I try to check once a day, but today the Jeep Chats site is down....

Figure one of you was checking on build/ship status every 30 seconds and broke it. No wonder we can't have any nice things :computerrage:

So either you broke it or I am now blocked....

I tried on multiple computers with different browsers, no luck.

Ha! My bet is the chuckleheads checking every 30 seconds that did it!

Sorry, I was trying to back up the internet and it was taking forever and all the bandwidth in the US.

Yep, another week still in D1.

On another note, this was the first time I've used Jeep chat to check status. Is anyone else annoyed that they ask for you name, VIN, VON, and then ask you for that again and more in the chat?

Yeah the first time you realize your Jeep is actually in the system it's semi-exciting. After that, they share much less and the dealer becomes a better source of info. IMHO once the build is started on the line they should just assign tracking numbers or use the VIN so you can pull status at will like a UPS delivery. The "chat" construct is cumbersome.

I tracked a package last winter that was already a day late - I used their live track the truck bit on the web. I realized the truck was in the same place for like 30 minutes, then I thought about it - hey, wait - there's no houses there in that area - oops, he went OFF THE ROAD. Won't be seeing that package today!
Sure enough - got a message about them having to reschedule delivery.
They need to start using Jeeps.......

Anyway, yeah, I agree - the chat actually gave me no more or no different info than the dealer - which was minimal.
I'd like to see them use some sort of system like the corn cam - yeah, you can actually watch the corn grow here. Would be fun to watch the Jeeps make it through assembly - on the other hand, I've toured several auto plants - sometimes you don't want to see how they adjust things.
