Quadratec just contacted me, Centerforce Dual Friction is ready to ship. Ordered it in December of last year, so it’s been a long wait. It was $1134.95 when I ordered & quadratec confirmed the price with me just now. So we’ll see how this goes. Quadratec has had their problems & I haven’t been thrilled with them at times, honoring the initial order price would go a long way!

Yeah similar here. It was $1134 when I ordered last August, then I called in February to give them my new non-expired CC number, they put in a new order in the same place in line. At that point it had dropped to $940ish.
Then they added hydraulics to all the kits, a year later I got a $1700 clutch for $1023 shipped. Not mad about it.

Good deal. I had to do Imogene & Ophir on the stock clutch back in July.

I have a 2021 gladiator Mojave with 28k miles on it. Jeep is telling me the clutch and flywheel need to be replaced which I’m not happy about. They won’t cover. It seems like others have had this issue. I’m wondering if I should replace with the centerforce clutch. Are you still happy with it? Did it affect your Jeep warranty?

Clutch warranty is only 12,000 miles. I love my Centerforce clutch. It’s a real game changer. I tow, off road and drive over 5,600 miles from PA to Yellowstone and back this summer. Of course Jeep won’t cover aftermarket parts but they don’t really cover their factory parts when it comes to the clutch. No other impact on the warranty and it’s really none of Jeeps business. Good luck.

OK, this is interesting! My clutch is the stock JT soft example, and I haven't researched this in a year or more, but did CenterForce actually improve the whole thing? Hydraulics and all? That wasn't part of the kit when I first started looking. If so, this is awesome and an even bigger reason to upgrade!!

So curious, what are you paying in labor for the upgrade?

And, is "Dual Friction" or "Centerforce II" the better answer now? Price for either is within $50. I do tow, but also drive in Charlotte traffic randomly when stuck on a job. I did drive a 1999 F250 7.3 Diesel manual for years, I can't imagine the pedal is harder than that or even close??

As far as install price I had 1751 Canadian with tax. Through a dealership as they said it was warranty work for a bearing etc etc... Fml. Anyway not terrible but not great. About the same as another shop said they'd do it for, and I would have had to move it on over there. Not sure about where you live.

As far as in traffic, I have limited experience working the hours I do. But it's not too bad, a lot easier to let off this clutch as it carriers itself better in 1st gear on any sort of incline you might be on in traffic!

I paid $600 for labor -6 hour job + $200 for the hydraulics (2 hour job) because I got an early clutch without the hydraulics and the the hydraulics later. The hydraulics, clutch and flywheel come in the kit now. The Dual Friction is great and I don’t even notice the difference from the original in pedal effort but when I first got it, it was noticeable. No where near a big truck level of effort. It honestly reminds me of a mid 80s Jeep level of effort/resistance. I have no issues in traffic and since it doesn’t roll or feel like it’s going to stall it’s actually better. I spent 35 minutes crawling up a hill in bumper to bumper traffic in Cincinnati after a Reds game and I’m glad I didn’t have a stock clutch. It would’ve been smoke and/or the people practically touching my rear bumper would have gotten rolled back on.

I was wondering if the new software which detects clutch overheat will kick in earlier than necessary if there is a better clutch. Sounds like no problems so far.

For what it is worth, I had the Centerforce DF clutch installed in my JTR 2 months ago. It is hands down the best investment I have made. I real game changer for the transmission and frankly should have been this way from the factory. Offroading it is amazing now - no hunting for gears - just smooth power. I have the new DF kit with flywheel and updated master/slave.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but mine went from biting right off the floor mat to biting about 40% of the way up the other day. I know the instructions say that's how it's supposed to work (bleeding instructions indicate it should engage 1/2 way up), but it coincided with my wife driving us home from a wedding and smoking the shit out of it in reverse.....

Maybe it finally shook a bubble loose? Surely she didn't burn that much material off in one try....

This is the real world stuff I'm looking for! Curious how it feels and operates moving forward.

My wife won't even drive my manual JT despite my attempts to teach her (probably end in divorce). Thanks for all feedback on how these are holding up!

Had it out at Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area yesterday with a large group - mostly automatics. They kept stopping on Rocky hills. Zero issues starting on an incline, on rocks. I’ve been on the exact same trails and location with a group previously with my stock clutch and I could smell it burning.

Exactly my favorite feature, the flywheel to torque you out of a hole or over a rock if you're stopped on one!

The two main things I did NOT want to do until I got this clutch in:
1.) take off on a boat ramp with an audience and a boat,
2.) back up for 3-point turns on switchbacks of death (like Bridal Veil).

this clutch plus gears completely alleviate those fears.

My wife didn't know how when we met. Now she won't drive anything else.
