Just got a '21 Gladiator and am swapping out the halogen headlights, fog lights, fender lights and tail lights to different LED types. I believe all but the fender lights should work as soon as installed but wondering about the fender lights.

I got these: Amazon.com: New Upgrade Smoke Lens LED Fender Light Kit for JL, LED Turn Signal Lights with DRL & Side Marker Lights Replacement for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018-2022 : Everything Else

Will I need a reflash to get these to work? If so, how should I go about doing it?

Also, got these for the fog lights: Amazon.com: CAFOPAR 4 inch LED Fog Lights for Jeep Wrangler JL JLU 2018-2021, Round Halo LED Fog Lamps for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020+, LED Fog Light Assembly Kit White DRL & Amber Turn Signal Light : Automotive

I want them to flash when the turn signals are flashing. Should I run them to the fender wiring and cut them in there or is there a better way to do it? Thanks for any help.

I have the same turn signals/DRLs. Whether you need to tell the jeep anything depends on if you bought the right ones or not.

The difference between the halogen replacement ones and the LED replacement ones is how many wires are in the harness. replacements for factory LEDs have a 5 wire harness, replacement for factory halogens have a 6 wire harness.

If you buy the 6 wire version (halogen replacement) they will work fine. If you buy the 5 wire verion (led replacement) you'll need to get in jscan or tazer and tell your jeep the fender lights are LEDs now i believe.

This seller has a more detailed breakdown on the product IMO (and is also where i got mine)

Please don't do this. Not only is it illegal (wrong flashing color), but it is also potentially confusing to other drivers. I get you're buying cheap fogs, so they're probably not as bright as advertised... but for the sake of argument, let's assume they are. A very bright flashing white light could easily distract someone away from the flashing (legal) amber light on your fender. Silly things could ensue.

I made sure to get the ones for factory halogens so yes, they do have the 6 wire harness. So should be plug and play?

As for the fogs flashing, they would be flashing amber, not white. At least that's what shows on the page. I wouldn't want white flashing.

NO.
No flashing!
Further - those are not good for squat. Cool factor, but not real fog lights. It's a case of you get what you pay for. Fog lights are specific lights and need to be aimed downward and light up only directly in front of you and a bit off to the side.
Good fog lights that are worth a crap will cost you more than double, even quadruple that. Those are cheap and not worth the time it takes to install them, IMO.
Few companies make GOOD fog lights that are fog lights and do anything useful. Most consider selective yellow to be the best, and fog lights must be pattern specific.
IMO, don't waste your money or time on cheap fog lights unless you only want to impress with looks.

Diode Dynamics makes GOOD fog lights, Oracle may as well.

Almost all factory-installed or dealer-optional fog lamps, and a great many aftermarket units, are essentially useless for any purpose, especially for extremely demanding poor-weather driving.

If you've got the 6wire harness, it's directly plug and play yes.

You need a 10mil socket and a 30torx socket and you're off to the races. Though having just done my install last week, i HIGHLY recommend a trim tool, a drill, a rivet gun, and plastic rivets.

There is a plastic cage behind the fender light housing that is plastic riveted to the fender. It is a LOT easier to work if you can drill that rivet out to get the cage out, and then rivet it back in place when you're done.

As for the trim tool, there's a bunch of christmas tree style push rivets holding the wiring in place that aren't going to be easy to get out with another tool.

Referring to POM rivets, correct?
HF has a tool with a selection of POM rivets and some of those fit these pretty well. Cheap and something a Wrangler or Gladiator is likely to see a need for in the future if they do anything themselves.

I can't say I know what a POM rivet is, but here's what I bought (they were originally purchased to install XR fender flares, but came in handy on the fender light install as well)
Amazon.com: Rexka 100pcs Fender Flare Bumper Door Trim Plastic Rivet Retainer 1/4 Hole Compatible with Chrysler 6506007AA 07-20 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler Unlimited JK & 02-12 Liberty KJ GM 10184895 Ford N803862-S : Automotive

Here's the riveter i used (though it was tool only back when i bought it, no rivets included)
Hand Riveter with 40 Industrial Strength Poly Rivets (harborfreight.com)

If i had known beforehand the BOLT hoodlock was going to require a real riveter, i wouldn't have bought the small guy and just stuck with this guy that i now also own

As to the flashing of fog or other white lights - and it may vary with state, but......it ain't legal in Texas.

As for the riveter, it says my local HF has it in stock so I will definitely check to see if they have it and pick it up. I already have a trim tool and the push pins to fasten stuff back together so I'm set there.
