Willy's interior water proof or resistant?

Am I to believe that my 2021 Willys interior is basically waterproof? Other than a very wet seat when it rains when the top is off,
the dash and automatic shifter console are going to be protected?

There probably isn't a hardtop jeep owner out there (unless in SoCal), who hasn't been caught in a rainstorm with no way to cover back up. I've never done it on purpose in either the TJ or the JT, but it's happened to me in both. Now my wife's JK, that will never get rained in. That's her baby.

I got caught in a storm and the center console got wet as did the carpet under the rubber mats.

Same here. Took a few days to completely dry, but otherwise, no harm.

Yup, even the ignition switch is waterproof.

Hold up on this. Water resistant is not the same as waterproof.

I got caught in a bad rainstorm on the way home one morning with only a Spiderwebshade top on and water got into the dash and glitched out the radio. Basically had to drive the whole way home for 2 hours with the radio stuck on one channel and the backup camera screen showing.

It took 3 days to dry out the Jeep in the garage. Carpet was completely soaked. The good news is, that after the 3 days, the radio started working normal again and I didn't have any issues after that.

These were tested in a "rain" for several hours as I recall. Once in a while there will be a case where water follows something and tracks to a place it should not be, but they have been tested.
Those things in the console - round recesses - those are not cup holders, they are rain gauges.

"When Possible". True. I definitely wouldn't advocate intentionally drenching the interior. That being said, there are drain plugs in the floor for a reason. Sometimes stuff happens, and inevitably, unless you live in a dry climate with no random rainstorms, everyone with a hard top or going doorless will be left with a soaked interior at some point. I've cheked and double checked forecasts, only to find out someone can make a good career out of being almost right most of the time, haha. Sorry to any meteorologists out there.

That being said, there are drain plugs in the floor for a reason.

There are also drain plugs under the seats and under the emergency brake handle.
