Wireless CarPlay options

Has anyone added a wireless CarPlay dongle to a JT? What did you use that you would recommend? I have CarlinKit adapters for our cars and am not wild about it.

I have carplay2audio. It works but their after sales service sucks so I wouldn’t recommend them

I was actually looking at these on Amazon yesterday. Seems like a different company makes the exact same thing with a rebranded logo on maybe 3 or 4.

I use the one below, it works well. Takes around 30s-1min to connect and once a month I have to unplug it and plug it back in. For the $75 I payed I'm happy with it.

Same. Free advice to anyone interested: If it's working fine, DO NOT update the firmware. It's pretty finicky with that and will brick itself.

Second this, thankfully mine was one day old and amazon swapped it no issue as an update bricked it. So if you do want to update it, do it in Amazons return policy as the company wanted me to ship it to them in China on my dime.

I bought this one about two years ago. It connects relatively quickly (30s - 1m) and works well. As with any of them, it occasionally has issues but a quick unplug/replug usually corrects it. My wife (who's very picky) liked it so much she bought herself one about a year ago.

Do these have a pass through USB so you can still use a cord? I like the cord from the arm rest vs always having a cord dangling from the dash.

Be mindful of the fact that the usb port in the console is flaky for many people , me included. I have the cplay2air mentioned above and it would drop connection every few minutes when plugged in the port inside the center console, yet is flawless when plugged into the one on the center stack
