Wiring OEM Locker Switch Panel

Question from Across the Pond in Aus.
I own a JT Night Eagle, which is essentially a base model, Max Tow/Sport for you guys. Except our base model was delivered with Dana 44s and lockers but they are not connected to a switch panel. The Night Eagles are sold without “lockers” even though there clearly in and the harness is plugged into the diff but not connected to any switch panel. Looking at ordering a Z automotive OEM switch panel and hooking it up to the factory harness. Does anyone no where I can hook up those switches to the factory harness, and if I need to run any wiring elsewhere or if it’s plug and play? Thanks in advance.

I would suggest looking behind the front center stack and seeing if the factory connector for the switch panel is there. Would also check for fuse F40 in the under hood fuse panel and see if it is even wired for power for the axle disconnect.

If it has both, I would say a factory switch panel should work but you may need to enable the function within the drive train control module using JScan.

Do both your front and rear differential have the locker harness going to them?

Yeah mate, the harness is connected front and rear. I’ll have a look. Thanks for the info

Hootbro has made a good starting point useing the factory components. However, If you find you are not able to use factory components I have found the Lasfit auxiliary switches to be a good application for the factory lockers or any locker using electric engagement.
The Lasfit can be programmed to operate as factory, only allowing engagement in four low or they can be programmed to allow engagement at operators discretion. Also, you get two.additional auxiliary switches. They look similar to the factory switches.
I have had the Lasfit installed for two years and they have worked great.

Seems like a very odd thing for jeep to do, drop $2000 bucks worth of hardware then not hook it up.
Did you pop a diff cover to verify the carrier is indeed a locker and not a open diff?

Yeah mate it’s very odd, there 100% in there. Not going to argue with free lockers though. I think the Rubicon Sales would be mostly null and void if Gladiator buyers in Australia knew they could get lockers in the base model. Must’ve saved FCA money somewhere rolling all the Auspec models with the same running gear.

Hey mate the harness behind the dash is there, as well as the harness for the factory Aux Switches, all wired into the PDC with relays ready to go, the pig tails are even there, super strange that Jeeps done this. The dealer’s over here are flat out refusing it’s a thing. Good for anyone who bought a Night Eagle I guess 😂
