Wolfbox G900Pro review

I want to start by saying that Wolfbox did send this to me in exchange for a review. I say say this for full disclosure. Now, onto the review. I am really impressed with not only the picture quality, which is amazing, but the fact that with the large mirror shaped screen, it gives you plenty of room to clearly see both the front and rear scenes. I put the G900Pro in our RV. The Rv does not have a rearview mirror so I used the dash bracket, which is designed to be very flexable for different dash angles. The quality of the equitment seems to be top notch with both fit and finish. The camera has a touch screen so trying to figure out what the little buttons of most cameras do is a mute point. It really could not be any easier and this is coming from a old guy that has not grasped new tech... The normal set up would be to strap the camera to the review mirror with supplied rubber straps. Literally, a 30 second install as far as the camera goes. The only painful part of the install is the running of the wires, which of course would be for any camera you buy. This is not a wolfbox issue at all. I have not had a chance to take the RV out for a long trip, but will be going in mid September and look forward to being able to see our towed Jeep as we go down the road for a piece of mind. I set our rear facing camera at bumper height to keep an eye on the towed vehicle, but when not towing with be a great rear facing shot. I have to say, that this dash camera is a pleasant surprise as far as looks and feel. One other feature that I have found so far is that it tracks your dirction and speed via GPS and displays it on the screen. This will be a handy feature for quick verifacation and something I have not seen on our other, older cameras. I will update this review after we have used it on our upcoming trip but I anticipate this being a very nice set up. The attached pic is showing it set up on the dash of our Mercedez Sprinter based RV.

Keep in mind the phrase "closer than appears". I really wish the camera had a little bit of zoom. It's very different and things are way closer. The image is great and the camera clarity is nice. Mine hates the cold and the rear camera refuses to work below freezing. Wolfbox did replace the rear camera to fix that, but it hasn't been below freezing since I replaced it. Sometimes the system will randomly start switching through cameras for no apparent reason. But that's usually in the cold too.

I have just installed it so no on the road experience yet but will see in a couple weeks. I mounted our rearview with one of the license plate bolts. We don't use the RV much during freezing weather but I guess I could always install on the inside of rear window if that becomes an issue. Thanks for the feedback.

Check your image at night on the rear camera. I had mine there for about 15 minutes and realized it gets too washed out by the license plate lights to be useful. Had to move it up to see anything. Love my Wolfbox camera system though.

I have the 900 tri pro. It does have zoom on the rear camera.

It is very finicky, but if you rub the right hand face corner area of the mirror up an down with your finger it will eventually zoom in or out, anyways mine does. I saw it on this gentleman's video

NO WAY! I really hope that is true for mine.

Thanks for the heads up. I typicall do not drive the RV at night, but is good to know.
