Work commute cut to just 1.5 miles... Should I be concerned with constant cold tranny?

Dude, I would totally WALK to/from work if I lived that close! I walk my dog over three miles an average of three mornings a week before work. Luckily, I get to work from home every other week.
When I was younger (in my 20s and 30s) I used to walk around the section (I farmed) in 60 minutes.
If you know what a section is - it's a square, 1 mile by 1 mile, 640 acres. That's 1 mile/15 minutes.
These days it's a lot longer to walk that mile, but the heart doctor says do it - and do it briskly.
Our problem is we now live where it's HILLY - 3% - 4% grades here in any direction.

I think the manual has a section that talks about that stuff . Maybe that's your Q to start walking to work .

Have a baby that gets driven to her grandmother's in the morning that is in the opposite direction.

I think between remote start and taking an extra exit I've been better.

Gotcha... the baby definitely changes things. So what's your TOTAL commute distance including the excursion to grandma's? Remote start is definitely nice... love it... but idling the engine doesn't do anything to warm up the transmission and the rest of the drivetrain.

Lol that makes me wonder how many here know anything about the PLSS system. I deal with that daily at work and even then half the other people have no clue about townships or sections or even what a 1/4 corner is. And these are people that should know these things. But I have to laugh at your ‘hilly’ statement. 99% of the ground we do for timber sales is all skyline - so over 45% slope. Usually were on 70% or steeper. Glad I am doing gis now instead of in the field every day.

I live across the street from work. With the way the road is set up, its about 1.5 mile. Basically I drive down the road a bit, hit the turn-around and come back.

I used to ride my OneWheel in every day when it was just a two-way one-lane, but then they made it a divided highway so I just drive now lol.
