The Max Tow feature would be lost. Would the front ride higher with the diesel springs?I doubt it, fit would be the same as gas, they might be a touch stiffer then gas, but not by much as they are to soft for the ecoD. I would also install the diesel springs in the rear to have spring rates that are matched
Biggest thing with the max tow for me was getting the 4.10 gears, they work better with 35s than the 3.73s.Max tow is stupid, all you are paying for is upgraded axle tubes that are thicker and wider then sport, maybe a bump in rear spring rate. Spring rate going from MT to ruby is probably inconsequential, there are tons of guys towing with lift kits and after market springs that haven't destroyed their rigs because it violated some goofy jeep option that people think is the word of god.
The front may ride a touch higher because the diesel spring rate is alleged stiffer, thus why i said do the rears too, and if it does ride higher, get some pucks for the back to fix it.
I say swap what ever springs you want and see what happens.
And Trac-loc and the wider axles. And at one time the package also provided daytime running lights. Further discussion...https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/max-tow-package.34860/Yes max tow is basically ruby axles without the lockers, not a bad upgrade.
