Thanks for the suggestion on other tires. But what I am still really looking for is when weight added to each tire starts to affect mileage. A few pounds each affects it or does it take much more. And if a less aggressive tread than my current KM2s will help. If it's a wash either way then it will open up my options a little more.

I have the Toyo AT IIIs in 285/75/17, had them through the winter they were good in the snow and good in the rain. They are 3pmsf rated which makes a big difference in wet traction also.

Not a bad looking tire.

My stock JTO Bridgestone Dueler A/Ts @ 255/70-R18 said they weighed 41 lbs. My Nitto Ridge Grapplers @ 295/70-R18 say they weigh 64 lbs. I'm also confident my new wheels also weigh more than stock. I'll let you know when I get gas how much my mpg went down.

Lin.
Helluva Difference-My Black Rhino Abrams with Cooper AT3 XLT 315/70/17 Weigh in at 103.4-They must be on My Covid Carb Diet!!

Any weight can affect mileage. Will a few pounds per tire affect mileage noticeably? No. Will a more highway friendly tread affect it positively, yes. That is given an average driver, not NYC or Joe-Jam stop and go.
The more aerodynamic the tread looks, typically the better mileage. Lug flex, psi run at, actual density of compound, and ................. all affect tire related mileage.
If you are worried about weight per tire, also think about balancing techniques. Most people mount, spin, add lead, done. If someone is willing to spend the time to mount, spin, dismount, spin, dismount, flip, spin, swap wheels etc., you can get pretty darn close to not needing any lead.
Higher treadwear numbers can mean better mileage. If the lugs don't flex much, they don't wear as fast. The flexing uses energy.
Besides mileage, what are you looking for in a tire?

Thanks for that insight. I'm pretty much looking for a moderately aggressive looking tire that will do good in the sand, occasional snow and rain. And have good highway mannerisms. Doesn't have to be silent. But don't want a droning tire. No serious wheeling in this area so I'm not really looking for an ultra durable sidewall that can withstand rocks/boulders and other hazards like that.
