Lately, it's Smote Reverser by Osees. Psychedelic and weird, but heavy and gritty. Matches the grimy scenery and aggressively dealing with the bad driving around here

I suspect many of the folks here will be adding kanye to the heavy rotation.

My SirusXM is pretty much locked on channel 18, the Beatles channel. Occasionally I'll listen to Classic Rewind or Classic Vinyl but for the most part, it's the Beatles.

It changes over time... at the moment that sort of early mid 00s punk rock vibe,
Rise Against, Billy Talent, Millencolin, etc...

Modest Mouse, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Chevelle, The Offspring. Maybe some Brand New if I'm feeling angsty or some Twenty One Pilots if I'm feeling poppy.

Have to sprinkle in some Run The Jewels and Aesop Rock. Aesop Rock is definitely a constant. I suspect the vast majority of the crowd in this forum isn't into hip hop as a genre but this guy's lyrical chops are undeniable. Here's just a short excerpt:

Update 3 years later.

This is my absolute favorite punk banger of the last 18 or 24 months. Tell me you don't love this shit

I have a special playlist for when I'm out in the Southwest deserts. I'm not going to write out all of them, but it includes:
  • Fanfare for the common man - Copland
  • Rodeo No. 5, Hoe-Down - Copland
  • The Magnificent Seven - Bernstein
  • The Big Country
  • Main Titles from Silverado
  • Clancy's Theme (Man From Snowy River) - Rowland
  • The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - Morricone
  • A Fistfull of Dollars - Borricone
  • Main Title (Sons of Katie Elder)
  • William Tell Overture
  • The West (Back to the Future III, Silvestri)
  • Going for a Ride (Serenity, David Newman)
