Yukon Diff Cover Bolt torque specs...

Chatted with Yukon support and they told me 10-15lbs depending on the gasket. That seems low, Google says 20-30 foot lbs. I'll be using a new OEM gaskets for the front and rear?

The OEM gaskets are reusable. Everything I found is 30-40 ftlb. I have my Dana cast iron cover torqued to 30ftlb.

I wouldn't bother with a torque wrench here.

Get them snug. If it leaks, tighten more.

And that tight enough is usually is what ends up with a broken bolt 25 foot pounds is not much and easily exceeded

I believe the factory torque is 35 with stock cover and new bolts. Each after market cover with replacement bolts has their own recommended torque

I have never used a torque wrench for diff cover bolts and have never broke one.

30 years as a dealership tech and I can tell you there are very few bolts that don’t need to be at the correct torque. But there is always the one who wants to complete faster and the hell with the customer or the backyard that cannot figure out what a torque wrench is for. But when it comes to fluids brakes and suspension and wheels I always use a torque wrench
