I was cleaning up and after I cleaned my tailgate with tire cleaner. I got the idea…

I wonder how this cerakote ceramic tire spray will work on my bed-liner on the tailgate?

well, it worked out amazing. And water rolls right off it now too.

Yea... be careful.... If you get it wet and try to walk on it.... it could be SLIPPERY!!

Not slippery, still rough textured like normal bedliner.

This is several days after I applied it to tires.

I sprayed it on, wiped with an applicator sponge(on tires)
For the bedliner I sprayed and just let it soak in then wiped it excess with a microfiber cloth

I wonder how it would work on fenders. I tried Back to Black and it helped but it attracted a lot of dirt.

Give the Cerakote a go. I did ALL my plastic and it doesn’t attract any more dirt than the rest of the paint on the Jeep.

For plastic on fenders?
non painted plastic use cerakote trim coat. That stuff is the bees knees. I’ve used it long time. On my Cherokee it lasted like 4 years. Was still nice when I sold it.

I've had their kit on hand and ready for application for going on a month or two. Just need the weather to cooperate and not be as hot and disgusting as Satan's left ass cheek.

Any tips?

Wipe the plastics down real good first. I suggest not using a wax and wash beforehand. You want that stuff on the bare plastic. I used Lysol wipes and some microfiber towels to make sure they were bare. Also use heavier mil gloves if you’ve got em. Those things shred on me. Have on the headlight kit and the plastics kit.

Did you apply it to the hard top, tonneau and bumper too?

I applied to the plastic bumper. Hardtop I did but it didn’t really make a huge difference and I really don’t suggest it. Too many chemicals merging could cause issues. If it soaks through the paint into the fiberglass stuff I may be in trouble but haven’t seen anything yet. I have a bedcap so didn’t use it on that either. I did wipe the tops of the bedrails that poke out under the bedcap. It worked.
