Air Freshener Reccomendations

Hopefully this doesn’t throw things off too bad….

I really dislike Jeep carpet. But I’m not ready to make the Jt a trail rig and have the inside sprayed with bed liner yet…..

Anyways…. Air compressor with air nozzle works great on the carpets along side a vacuum. Interior cracks - air compressor with a tornado gun (search on Amazon) is the best money for interior cleaning I have spent…. There are 100’s of different variations. Mine doesn’t have any markings…. But looks like 1/2 the ones they sell on Amazon.

Exterior wax…. I have used pinnical souveran, jet wax, a ton of really nice high end waxes….. for daily drivers…..

Try not to laugh….. I know it’s a turtle wax product……. But it works.

There are some wax shoot out videos (black hoods in sun…) the seal n shine hybrid makes it further than most….

Replace your carpet with Armorlite- you'll wonder why you waited so long. It's awesome.

Years ago, a buddy of mine was a professional detailer. He told me the best advice on air fresheners: put a dryer sheet under each seat. I don't use air fresheners now, but if I need to, that's what I'll do. Fortunately my JT smell stays pretty neutral since I don't have carpet, have leather, and clean it out every week or so.

Thats actually a great idea. Will try it for sure.

It always worked great for me, and it's cheap. Outside of that, I would use a 12v mini essential oil diffuser. That works well too.

Just ordered another pack of the old tree refreshers that we hang from the glove box area. Thinking why hasn't some entrepreneur taken on a new project getting rid of these. These last about 3 days max if that. Anyone know any betters ones that last a week or so?

I prefer that new car smell personally, I'd rather retain that.

The biggest thing I take from this, is most with the air fresheners are doing for/because of their wives...

I just keep mine clean, carpets free of dirt and mats not excessively dirty, leather is cleaned and conditioned twice a year; there is no eating allowed in the truck, and if you have spilled a drink before, you are now relegated to only water.

The Griots 3 in 1 ceramic came today and I am immediately applied it, awesome stuff with great smell. I like how companies are incorporating scents into the ceramics and waxes these days. You can smell the Gladiator from around 5 feet away, which TW did not offer.
Was hoping the freshener spray would come in with it but not until Monday.

While the wife also likes the Jeep to smell great, it's more of a polished thing, like wearing a great cologne. Not to mask any bad smells, just that final touch.

Solution: take off roof and doors permanently. No scent trees needed. Just wear a coat when needed and sometimes a rain poncho

Agreed, doorless is a great way to welcome new smells.

I really don't see a need for an air freshener. If something is making my vehicle smell foul, I will simply remove it.

I've never smoked, but whenever I've ridden in vehicles owned by smokers, they reeked of smoke and air freshener.

We have a dehumidifier, can be recharged in the oven microwave or strong direct sunlight

Helps. We have a very large dog, not too much doggy smell but I like the car to smell good and be clean. There are some small units that aerosolize over longer times. Other option is to get a small ozone machine to place in the vehicle over night. Just do not run it when you are in it.

The biggest thing for me with the dogs is to never let the fur get out of hand. I used to have a second car that I used for the dogs only. But now we manage by keeping a double hammock in the back and vacuum every 2 weeks and hardly any fur at all or odors.
