Got my first small ding and pretty pissed about it. I always thought I was safe from them as I have the tubular Mopar sidesteps but the problem is on all the new model Honda, Toyota and the other CRV types the rear door has around 10" over its wheel so even if the lower part of the door doesn't come close, that over the well part will nail you. Back to parking away from the careless in the back of the lot. Side steps are proving worthless. lol $100 pdr.

Yeah I know the whole it creates character, or normal for Jeep ect ect. Not for me, the Jeep stays clean.

Lucky, sometimes here in Florida they just say they don't have insurance and you have to decide whether you want the premium to go up or not. A few years this dude in a new Benz hit one of my employees in a company car and was instructed by someone to say that he didn't have insurance. Oddly enough he got out of it.

All the asshats at the parking lot have no regard for other peoples properties. They get even more jealous to see shiny gladiators and made it their mandate to ding it!

Sorry state of humanity...

Wait until he gets sued, then he can even deny it in jail time.

I picked up my first one after three years last week. It happened in a parking lot at night, didn't notice it until the next day.

Pretty sick ding right there, looks like the paint ripped off and all. You also have the sidesteps and didn't stop them. crazy. I noticed mine as the paint is like glass and I saw a wave on the rear door, no paint damage thankfully.

No luck, I think he was advised that we wouldn't sue under the circumstances of the accident so just deny coverage. Whoever advised him knew what the outcome would be. Pretty wacked that he was able to get away with that.
