Maybe we should go back in time and get rid of hood trim names all together? Its a Jeep. Or would sales of Rubicons go down? (just kidding!)

Though there are many people out there with “Rubicon envy”. :P

I see a stock Rubi driving around and I am like..meh. There are TONS of stock Rubis out here in Vegas.

Then I see a Sport that has been lovingly built into a beautiful custom offroad vehicle and go wow!!!!!
Hey, how about some consideration for those of us who buy Rubis to keep them stock because they work just fine for the 5x/year we wheel them!

Well it can be mechanically stock sans hood stickers.

I had a Rubicon JKU and tried show shadow stickers so it was barely visible, then eventually peeled everything off. Have a sport now, no stickers on that either.

I have been debadging vehicles since I started buying them...well, a long time ago.

Had a '11 and a 14' Rubi that I debadged, and when I ordered my '22 JT Rubi, I knew that was the first thing I was going to do.

Except, without thinking about it, I told the dealership to go ahead with the 3M install first, and, well...not sure how I'd feel while driving around with RUB on the drivers side and CON on the passenger...

Another "Pro No Decal" vote from me! ...although, mine didn't have any decals to remove anyway (Sporty owner here). I do have Rubicon fenders on my Sport though; so I look "anti-decal".

(the jeep factory decided to give me one Rubicon fender when I bought it... so I figured I'd just replace the other three with matching Rubicon fenders for more tire clearance. I sometimes wonder who the Rubicon owner is out there with my one Sport fender though... haha)

I am not a fan of the orange on the "Mojave" logo. I have completely removed all of the orange from my Mojave, but I went back and added the logos in the colors that I liked.

I’m with ya. The stickers just feel childish.

My JLUR:
- removed ALL stickers and emblems
- Replaced red hooks with black ones
- still have the ruby hood (trying to sell it for cash and a sport hood) and plastic front bumper
- replaced factory rock rails
- still have the factory red shocks and dash.
- replaced JLR wheels with JTR wheels

I bet mine is kinda confusing for people that know what to look for.

I recieved some "questions" today in a parking lot about why on earth i would remove the Mojave hood stickers and badges from my jeep. They were generally baffled at why i would do such a thing. This is my first jeep and i have removed badges and stickers from every vehicle I've owned. Is this something i can epect to encounter going forward? HAHAHAHA
Can you add the Mojave stickers back???

I don’t mind the hood decal but do not care for the red outline Rubicon badging. My plan was to give it a couple months to grow on me then take them off if I felt the same. Two months later my wife asked why I was going into the garage with her hair dryer. She listened patiently, even nodded in agreement a time or two, then told me she liked the red outlines. Six months later, they are still there and will most likely stay.
Yeah my wife likes all the Rubicon red too.

I bought a Rubicon precisely because I don't have the time or skill to build up a sport. This one's already done (at least enough for me). I see nothing wrong with a stock or stockish jeep. I see nothing wrong with a built one of any trim either.
My wife's is completely stock in every way. Mine just has wheels, tires, and a spacer lift.
Built jeeps are extreme cool, and necessary depending on what kind of terrain you're going after.

But I wouldn't know where to begin, and my wife would kill me for replacing half of a brand new vehicle with aftermarket parts anyway. It would cost me way more, since I'd have to pay someone else to do the labor. I just wanted to get in and drive.

That was pretty much my thought process on this go-round as well. I put a bunch of money and an shit-ton of work into building my JK.

When I was finished, it was damn cool... but honestly, a mostly stock Rubi would have taken me 99% of the places I went in it. After having a baby, I definitely don't have the time/energy I did before. And, more importantly now, I want something that I can be confident in its safety on the road as well.
