2020 JTR LED tail light failing, please advise

Hello friends, happy new-ish owner of a used 2020 JTR with 42k miles, so warranty is out. A kind person stopped me the other day to let me know my right rear tail light was flickering. On the ride home, I did notice flickering reflecting off a car behind me. Once home Jr. and I tried to replicate the flickering and could not. However, it's clear there's trouble. See image...

The one 'segment' is out (top right) and the bottom right of the surround is dim.
1. Is my research correct that fixing this requires replacing the entire assembly?
2. If yes, seeing how the assembly is ~ $500... Has anyone had good luck with aftermarket LED tail lights working well? Any recommendations? Saw some on Amazon with good reviews that are slightly more than half that for both left and right, and even have "motion", similar to my Mach-e, so that's a plus.

Any insights or advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

You might be able to find an OEM pair in the marketplace. Usually they go for $300 for the pair.

I bought these on Amazon back in February. My truck did not come with LED's from the factory but these were plug-n-play for me. They work flawlessly and are pretty unique. Haven't seen another on the road around my parts with them.

You can take a gamble with the Oracle flush mounts for less than OEM. You do however run the risk of issues worse than what you already have. Not to mention the issues others have mentioned about poor customer service to back them up.

No way I would take a chance with those after the stories I've heard about the mounting issues, reliability and poor customer service. Especially for the price they charge.

Yes I can confirm my experience with these has been great. No leaks or fogged inside, no reliability issues and the fit is identical to stock. They have a 4.7 out of 5 rating. I've been very pleased with them.
