I suppose I did move on from one of my jeeps “. Mainly the one this forum pertains to.
I’m still here until they ban me…
I say stick around. You just might be convinced to come back in the fold! Happens all the time.

Careful it's really easy here lol
Seriously though lol. I thinks it’s one- the Karen’s of the world making complaints or two the administration of the forum randomly flexing on the members to try and keep us in check.

Use thicker oil for turbo engine. Most dealerships pour 5w20 in all vehicles.
I never have issues with my eb f150. Its always the user
Idk what your local dealers are doing but ours are pretty good idk if it’s because we are in a rather rural area and there are lots of farmers turned mechanics around here or what but they seem to be mostly capable. With the jeep I only one shop do Questionable work and that was more of a surprise that they sourced non Mopar parts than the work itself. I just moved to another dealer after that. As far as the ford dealer goes I’ve heard good things locally about service there.

I've already had a time out. Was told to stand in a corner for 2 weeks. But I couldn't find the corner.

Here is a good one. I did a lot of research when my wife wanted a full size truck. We ended up getting a 5.7 Tundra. Long term resale is just better. The V6 turbo in the F150 is nice but terrible in fuel economy when towing. Turbos are always spooled up, this wise MPG then the Tundra V8.
Good luck with your dinosaur tundra v8. Bad fuel economy in eb f150 when towing??? I doubt your tundra will do any better!

Tell that to those tundras that came to my shop broke!

Toyota is cheap on rebates and workmanship.

If tundra is so good why fleet companies dont use it????

Again blind follow the blind...

Funny, I looked at the taco along side the gladiator. Couldn’t justify paying taco price for a truck unchanged since I was in high school lol. A midsize truck with full size fuel consumption and midsize power and capacity.
Also so far the 150 is nice. Like I could drive it to fl and back to ny and be just fine.

I had an F150 2.7 Ecoboost 4WD right before my Gladiator, a Tundra before that, and a Chevy before that. My favorite was the F150 in terms of how it drove, but I felt like the mid level trim interior was cheap feeling compared to the Chevy. I grew to hate my Tundra. The only thing it had going for it was a powerful V8, but was terrible in every other regard. The Chevy was ok but felt underpowered with the 5.3. It had the nicest mid-level trim interior.

All were boring compared to my Gladiator, however, much more comfortable and practical.

Jebus man, loosing up the panties. Wound a little tight.

Have a friend with a F150 V6 turbo, when towing similar size campers we get better fuel mileage in the V8. Yes it is old and been around forever but it’s been proven and reliable. Something in my head is saying that Ford has had some issues with the Eco Boost blowing up or something.

BTW Zero issues with the Tundra, 1 or 2 minor recalls just starts every time. Not sure what problems you see with them but really not the forum for it.

it does amaze me how protective people are with the F150 though. I drive a full size
transit for my job, 105k in 4 years, other then tires and the brakes that need constant replacement, can’t complain.

As for the 5 year resale, supply and demand holds true for the F150.

Of all the trucks the Gladiator is my second choice, first would be the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series double cab with the 12HT, I wouldn’t say no to the Twin Turbo V8 diesel either. Unfortunately I live here where it’s not available and 25 year old models just don’t make sense at the prices they go for.

But alas the original poster already went with the Ford, really doesn’t effect me either way. Good luck to him and his new endeavor.

They had a 2.7 there as well. Didn’t even look at it lol. I don’t feel there is enough displacement even with a turbo in that configuration. I’m sure it drives fine and tows ok but I was not interested.

I actually drive both and preferred the 2.7. This was in 2018, so not sure if that's changed on the newer ones. The 2.7 drove smoother and still had plenty of power. The 0-60 times were almost identical. For towing, the 3.5 is def better though.

Your opinions are like most Tundra owners who think their v8 tundra is the most badass truck in this market. Give it a break. Its the most boring and old dinosaur in the market. Tundra held the stolen catalytic converters awards, secondary air injections, drive shaft...etc blah blah blah.

The day those fleet companies are using Tundras, i will be a believer!

F150 outsold Tundra 1000 to 1? So the higher percentage to see F150 have more issues is possible because of the quantities sold. If your badass tundra is so good, why did not it outsell F150?????

Hold on, let me step down a bit from my Toyota owner pedestal . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Wow! Seriously don't care, it is my wives truck not mine.

BTW fleet purchases for Ford are because it is a market Ford fully invested in and the do well with. I.E. Police vehicles, rental, State vehicles etc. They outsell GM and Dodge by a huge margin. Lease cost to them is the main reason there are so many more various Ford vehicles in fleet than the others. How my more Fords versus Dodge or GM do you see in any giving format for the above do you see? Just one more reason why the F150 long term resale value drops so much.

Did I mention the I have a JTR? I think my avatar shows it. Just realized I need to update it, thanks for that.
