Oh its been there for 6 months and bumped this morning. I pretty much shotgunned sprayed this on the forum haha

Ive been told this myself but the past 2 shops i got a quote from this weekend, told me that with this particular color that they wouldnt be able to get the same depth as the body and you would be able to see the difference. By all means i am not a paint or body shop guy so i took their word on it

My son got his 3-piece top painted for $850, this included sanding to top to a smooth surface, primer prep, and painting with automotive professional paint, basecoat/clearcoat. The painter is a painter for a large DFW auto dealer and worked for me when I was a body shop mgr. at that dealership. Many dealership painters do work at home and do a very good job with professional results. I'm sure the Tampa area has painters with good reputation that can do the work with professional results, now finding one will take a little work on your part, but they are out there. I would check with smaller body shops in the area and talk with the painter. Just walk in the door an ask to speak to the painter, they won't run you off, everyone likes money.

This is hard to argue with the points made and savings on my wallet haha. So i guess it doesnt hurt as i wait for a bite on the forum to continue hunting down a painter who would be open to it

I had a lemon Durango with a hard tonneau cover. It was replaced with another Durango and Dodge had the tonneau painted to match. They did not have a paint shop and had me go to the cadillac dealership which had one. Tonneau was painted to match perfectly.
SO have you reached out to the Jeep dealership to see which shop does their warranty paint?

I would check auto salvage yards and maybe find one that’s possibly been wrecked? Small lead but another one that could help

Professional automotive paint store have a digital scanners to help match the paint, A good painter can lay down the base and clear coat can make it look original, the issue is the prep, nobody wants to take the time to do the prep the right way, its hurry up get the primer on, paint and get the money!
