For sure. I’ve been afraid I’m going to start stripping threads so I’ve been taking a lot of time being newer to it. The sleeve bolts on the doors have me the most worried about stripping.Meh....? Maybe?
Although, I do a lot more safari setup now and just take the doors off.
I can get all doors off in 3-5 minutes, roof takes about 10, and having a 3rd car I leave it bare quite a while until it gets below 45 degrees.
On year 3+ now and still do it all the time... However I have a sunshade now as I got burned way too many times lol
What do the springs do? Keep the door from free swinging?I took out the bolts that have the spring loaded door assist the day I got it and have not put them back in - was skeptical at first but now I'm glad I haven't put them back in.
Also took the bolt caps off the bottom of the pins and those as well are no longer there, hence the 2-3 minute process.
so you literally can just disconnect electrical, open up the door and lift it off? Yeah that would make for a quick strip down!I took out the bolts that have the spring loaded door assist the day I got it and have not put them back in - was skeptical at first but now I'm glad I haven't put them back in.

Exactly, makes it super easy and as soon as I realized it I had just traded my Rubicon in. Then as soon as I came home with the Mojave I took them out.so you literally can just disconnect electrical, open up the door and lift it off? Yeah that would make for a quick strip down!
Welcome from West Michigan! I love taking it off, but it's less fun having to put it back on.Honest question. Does stripping down your truck ever get old? I just bought mine and all I want to do is get naked every weekend. …sorry, honey ?
Now I just have to figure out the best way to store everything and still get in the garage.
