If you purchase correctly and review applications, all LED assemblies built for non-LED vehicles come with resistors. The hyperflash seen is because the system does not recognize the lower resistance of the LED assembly/bulb. Been mucking with LED's for years between my cars and bikes. Wasnt as big an issue until everyone went to canbus.
That's true, when the Canbus was introduced then that's when reprogramming and resistors had to be added. The older TJs and before those jeeps don't require any of it. When the JK was introduced it had the Canbus system and that's when it became a issue. You can program for LEDs and not get the warning on the dash but without resistors the turn signals will hyperflash still. Most of the time you have to do both or have the resistors built in. I used to be a vendor and sold led lights a few years back and it was always a issue and a discussion with the newer jeeps

Oracle tail lights are garbage...they sell you a plug and play harness that doesn't work THEN they tell you to buy a Taser or JScan in order to get their junk to work...they should either TELL YOU THIS BEFORE BUYING OR give you a taser with the purchase of their expensive non working lights..I had the same issue and sent them back...cost me 70.00 in restocking and shipping fees to be their guinea pig....not a fan

That is why I want to avoid sending them back. Strange to me a company charges a restocking fee for a faulted/miscommunicated product.

I guess we never asked, but which Oracle P/N did you purchase?

We've recently discovered an issue for some 22 MY Halogen Equipped Gladiators which causes the BCM to shut down the park lights when LED tails are connected. This is not a product defect and the issue can be resolved by doing the following:
  • - Remove the resistors plugged into the Flush Mount Tail Lights
  • - Set the Rear Lights to LED using a programmer such as Tazer or JSCAN
  • If you do not own a programmer - You may be able to get your local dealer to set the rear lights to LED for you.

I’m interested in getting the flush tail lights. To confirm, I have a 2020 originally halogen. I purchased OEM LEDs, installed them and used Jscan to change it to LED and I have had no issues almost a year later.

If I purchase the flush lights, should I remove the resistors before installing? It should work fine correct?

There it is. The same comment everyone has been hearing since the beginning. "Just spend a lot more money to make this product work, maybe". Here's where they belong.

Yes it is unfortunate I/we was not informed that a programmer would be needed. I would have went a different route. I will update Friday once I get the Jscan parts in to complete the program.

Guess you didnt read the entire paragraph, just pick and choose! Some gladiators have issues (22MY). If you run into the issue then there are options to get them to work. If you dont like the options then send them back and go with something else. An LED tailight assembly is pretty basic.

I think he's referring to Oracle originally stating they were plug and play without needing resistors or jeeps needing to be programmed for them. They were misleading in the beginning and then switched up which has been a pretty common trend with them. I wonder why they just didn't build the resistors into the units, even most of the China taillights have the resistors built in.

not just 2022 with Oracle..mine is a 20 and has the exact same issues as the "some model 2022's" have. Oracle needs to explain ON THEIR BOX and or WEBSITE that their junk may not work without a programer or not at all...just sending them back at a lossto the end buyer is unacceptable

How about that restocking fee? What's up with that.

How do you rationalize a "Plug-N-Play" product needs a Programmer to work is not a product defect ?!?!?!?!?!? Also how is this not even mentioned on the product description ?
